I love LF, their customer service is great! They take care of your problems fast. But the dead batteries I been getting been killing me. I ordered 2 sets of Riva 510 for me and my boyfriend and 4 Riva 510 sets for friends the past month. So far with the 2 sets I have w/ my boyfriend, I have 2 dead batteries. Ty and abe took care of my problem super fast, and I received my replacement super fast. But 1 of the replacement battery was not vaping the way it suppose to. It's driving me crazy, I know I will be taken care of but it kills me because the working Riva 510 battery that I have won't work on the new eGo-T atty I purchased from LF for some reason.
Option 1: Stuck here looking at the eGo-T atty and my bad battery. :(
Option 2: Go rob my boyfriend's Riva 510 battery and vape happily :vapor: and tell him his don't work and tell him to wait

WoW - Kind of makes you wonder if they didn't have something go goofy at the Riva factory, doesn't it?

Sorry to read you are having so many battery problems. I only own 2 (two) Riva's. Purchased the Stainless Steel SE kit. You have more experience with the Riva battery than I do. I do use my eGo t-tank system on my two Riva batteries. They seem to be fitting and working ok on it.

I am curious about the dead batteries.

Do they charge at all?
Do they lose a charge quickly?
Do they charge, but fail to heat the atomizer?
Do the charger lights work properly during and after they are charged?

I am curious. I've never seen a dead battery. I've tossed some of my small 510's because they stopped performing well, but they were not dead.

I would say Happy Vaping, but that does not sound like it's going to happen until you get your batteries replaced.

1st dead battery - (boyfriend's battery) no led light lit up, when you press the button. When you try to charge it the LED light on the charger turns red, then turns green in about 1 - 2 minutes. Try screwing on an atty again, no battery light and won't heat up the atomizer.

2nd battery - (from my set) happen after a few days after the 1st dead one. It wasn't totally dead, it happens from time to time. I would need to constantly clean the battery threaded end with alcohol to keep vaping every few vapes. It's worst with atties. I tried 2 different standard Joye 510 atty on it. Every two vapes I would need to clean the threaded end, or the batteries LED light will be flashing and can't vape. With a carto I can vape for about 10 - 30 minutes then need to be clean inorder to vape again. Sometimes worst, after cleaning, it still don't work. The last time I tried it before getting my replacement it won't work after even cleaning so I gave up. The battery LED light just flashes when you press on it, and it's not low battery. This battery can fully charge though.

3rd battery - (was a replacement I rec'd for the 2nd dead battery) Charged it 8 hours before use. Produce very little vapor, no throat hit, no flavor. It feels like I'm vaping on air or nothing. Luckily this wasn't the battery I received when I first started vaping or it would had completely throw me off, and go to analogs. (Still contacting LF regarding this battery, I just received yesterday)

I hate how my good Riva battery is not working with the eGo-T atty, and that the only Riva battery I can use now. I know the eGo-T atty is ok, because I tried it on my boyfriend Riva battery and they work fine. I purchased a 3 pack eGo-T atty from LF and tried it on my battery, it just won't heat up the atty for some reason. The battery light will lit up but when I vape, no vapor no nothing. It screws on fine. The Riva battery works fine w/ my cartos and regular 510 atties. So sad, I want to go swap my boyfriend's battery.

I think I'm using them properly although I only been vaping about 5 weeks now. Maybe I'm just having bad luck :((

Thanks Paula, I hope I get better experience when I get another replacement for the battery. It makes me wonder about Riva, and thinking the next purchase for batteries maybe I should try eGo.

I tried doing that on the Riva 510 that won't work with the eGo-T and it worked!!!!! Thanks so much Katya, Princessa and Paula!! I'm going to try that with the battery that has bad vapor production and see if that helps, too. I'm so excited that I'm vaping on my tank. I was so sad starring at my new toy and can't vape on it before. You save my day!!!!
Thanks everyone !!

Abe, it's not just the Rivas. The problem is widespread. However, the good news is that most of the failures occur within the first two or three weeks. If your battery survives the first month (really, in my experience, the first two weeks), it will serve you well for a long time.

I could tell you my stories, from different, very reputable vendors, but they all sound the same. Got a bad battery, the vendor replaced it, got a bad charger, the vendor replaced it, got a bad cartomizer, it shorted and killed a good battery... on and on and on.

The nature of the beast. My advice: look on the bright side, enjoy the ones that work, send back those that don't. It'a a PITA, but what else can we do? Maybe, if the vendors send enough faulty units back to the manufacturer, it will finally hit their bottom line and give them the idea to improve quality. But I have my doubts.

It makes me feel so bad to email you guys each time I have a problem causing you guys trouble. I'm so glad I find LF, thanks to all ECF members or I will still be struggling and maybe even worst with no replacement and digging more cash out of my pocket or just give up. Nothing can go wrong if you order with LF!
