Just got my second AFS V2 today and have to say WOW... they really do look nice with the logo and shined up. I got mine before they went out to shine and laser so I missed out on that part. So glad I got a second one.... Looks like I will be needing a second TS for the AVS though.... hehehehehehe.... I am thinking about an all silver one this time. I did end up with the chrome plated button cap but I think the new silver center tube will look nice.

Well I found a new home for the new AFS V2... I have put a new button on the Prototype Ts and shined it up so now I don't need to buy another TS for the new AVS.... That prototype still kicks ... and is one of my favorite devices. The button cap was a very cleaver design that didn't make it to market. I can unscrew the center pole to make my logo stop in any position and if I want I can put the button on the end of the device. Amazingly simple design that sold me on the whole idea of the GG.... I thought there had to be pieces missing when I opened it up the first time. Heck it was the one that made Crash sell all of his other mods. I could have stopped at that one and been just fine vapnaway :vapor: for the rest of my life. Thanks imeo for making such a fine device that will stand the test of time. Your work does not go unnoticed!!! :D

Hey Vapn, Where did you get the aluminum cap for the bottom of the GGTS? I really need that becouse my brass bottom cap gets too tarnished from me holding it all day... Is Imeo shipping these parts to suppliers?

Actually keon, that is a brass one that has been CHROMED. Imeo had it done for himself, he then sent it to Lisa and she used it for a while, and she passed it on to me. So that is a special piece that doesn't have a single scratch on it after many weeks of use and abuse. I love that end cap and feel special to have it on my device.

As Vapn said, Keon, it was a gift from Imeo to me as I had nagged him SO much for a silver coloured cap for Vapn - he tried out the chroming idea to see if it was viable for GG going forward and he decided against if for several reasons. So he gifted it to me to see, and I gifted it to Vapn. :D

Maybe Imeo will be producing all silver bottom (front) caps for this new model, in which case he might produce a few extra for people to buy separately? Imeo??

All front caps will be silver now Lisa. I found a way to stop the cap stucking to the body. I made shorter threads to cap.

Excellent!
Will you have replacement silver ones for those that want to put them on their existing GGTS?

The number of the caps are the same as the GGTS are. But I can send some caps to you and Rob for our people that want to have this option too and I will make some more caps later for the rest of GGTS

I hope you will be doing the same for the silver center tube for those of us that what to get one of them also. I also wonder if you might think about making some of the sleeves about 15mm longer so that when we use the 18650 or two rcr123s there is not so much of the center section showing. Personally I like using the 18500 or Cr2s in my TS because it only leaves a tiny little gap between the main body and the sleeve. A longer one would be nice to close up that gap if I want to use the 18650. That is a 15mm difference. If you take a look at the picture I posted it shows my TS with CR2.

If I modify the sleeve's length then other batteries will not fit. But maybe you mean to make another sleeve Vapn?

ps...... if I do that then telescope has not a purpose because many sleeves will take us back to the GGT and thats a older model with limited functions

Yes I was saying to make an extra sleeve for those who only use the 18650 or two RCR123s in the TS. Some don't like the way the TS feels when you have a large gap. Like I said I personally only like using the CR2 or 18500 in my TS because it closes up almost all the way. It could be offered only as an option. A fully customizable GG would be great. And the Trans is just as functional as the TS IMHO...

Im telling ya that dam trans has a pull on it like no other mod Vapn, I agree with you on that end, but are you saying maybe the cr2 x 2 wont close all the way if the sleeve is longer because with rcr123a it will, im taken back you like those small cr2 better then the rcr123 Batts, the CR2 just doesnt seem to last for me compared to thr RCR123A, BUT closing the tube up is a great idea in my eyes, I feel the TS would have a better pull/Draw on it this way.
