I'm looking to purchase my first mech mod shortly and got my eyes on an hcigar Nemesis clone, specifically either the full brass or the two tone. I really like the full brass look but I'm not too sure how well it would go with my all SS atomizers so I've been a little more keen on the two tone.

My only problem with the two tone is that when I look at the pictures on 101vape the rings look almost yellowish as apposed to brass or golden in color which does not look very nice to me at all. Are the rings supposed to be brass or some other material all together? Does it really look that yellow in person or are the photos a bit doctored?

Other than appearance, are there any differences in quality or function between the different hcigar Nemesis? I think I read that the button on the all brass one generally works a little better but that's the only thing I've heard personally.

Any insight into this would be much appreciated and if you had pictures of yours if you happened to have one, they would be very helpful(I've already googled some) as well.

I have the HCigar two tone, after a few months of use the middle beauty ring (only useable if you use a fuse in 18650 mode) and the bottom lock ring are getting a little dull but polish back up. The top is as shiny as ever. It is a well done clone and I have no complaints.

The polished brass is solid, on mine.

purchased at 101vape

From what ive read. I've avoided the full brass & copper because of the rapid discoloring & i like things to look fresh for a long time so i stick with SS. Their pros are they hit harder utilising its brass neg/pos contacts. Preference in the end. I cant review my SS 1 yet as im still debating on tanks to get lol.

I'm not sure how confident I am in gold plating. I have the EHpro Caravela clone with the gold plating over brass on the endcaps, and it started tarnishing pretty quickly, it's still shiny but much darker and uneven, but not the same as tarnished brass.

I was under the impression that gold plating doesn't tarnish, so I thought my caps were brass, but after looking around it appeared that gold plating can tarnish, especially if the metal immediately under the gold layer tarnishes easily (there is a copper layer under the gold) so that might be what's going on. I'm not sure of the science behind it, just going from what I've read on several jewelry forums on the issue.

It's also possible I have freakishly strong hand oils or something...
