I'm a bit late in posting this, but two days ago was my two-year anniversary of quitting smoking :)

Although I quit smoking all at once by using an ecig, it wasn't an easy process for me. I'd documented some of what I went through on my blog and I was just rereading it... I'm so glad that's all behind me now! If anyone's interested in reading through some of my experiences of quitting smoking (warning: lots of mental anguish and bad language), here's the link to those posts on my blog:

lost in the inner circle of thought

^ To read those in the proper order, just scroll down and start from the bottom.

Maybe some of that will help any newbies who are having a rough time with quitting smoking.

Thanks for the congratulations everyone. It was definitely a rough road for me for the first few months, but I'm so glad I'm writing this two years later as a contented non-smoker. If it wasn't for the ecig and this awesome forum, I don't think I could've done it, I really don't.

Huffelpuff - Some people have a much easier time of it than others and I think it just comes down to our individual brains — how we're wired and how smoking (and then quitting) affects our chemistry. So even if it takes a while to feel good, I can tell you from the other side of the hump that it absolutely does get better. And in hindsight, it's totally worth it. I hope you feel better soon.
