I've seen a lot in the news about "Teen E-Cig Use has Doubled!" but the never mention the decline of cigarette use...
I thought it was interesting and would share.

To be clear - I dont think Youths should be smoking any of this, but the news articles are only taking part of the picture, which misrepresents the data imo.

it's intentionally misleading to say something has doubled when actual numbers are not given. the percent may have gone from 1 to 2% where it did double, there's no real quantification.

well, when they go to the "SAVE THE KIDS!" argument, you know they are grasping at straws..
Again, we need to protect the youth, but if they want it they can get it... no mater how bad it is for them... or how much its regulated/restricted.

you have a point... kids shouldnt be smoking or vaping or having sex or drinking... but I wonder how many of "us" before the legal age for what ever did any of those things mentioned above.... and since most of us probably had done some of those things... do we have the right to condemn the kids for doing it too???

odd... I was having a memory relapse.... when I was a kid ( 15-17) I was told to grow up behave and act like an adult....
CATCH 22 in my book
and now... save the kids keep them kids till they are 18 and then dump them into an adult society, lets see how well they will fare.... no experience no background...

I jumped the legal age on drinking and smoking. It is hypocritical to say I dont agree with children using those or these products. But I say it anyway

Now that I'm older and wiser, I think there is good reason to wait until you are an adult to pick up these addictions.

why wait?? I had more fun at 15 drinking than I do now.... never had a hangover till I was 24... and I dont have any addictions... I can go without for 10 hours every nite....

I'm not saying shelter the kids, and to make them aware of the world, but they should wait to try certain things... Alcohol, tobacco, Sex..
