So I got home tonight after a bonfire and went to tqke out my battery to charge and there's juice coming out of the bottom contact of my UFS V2 connection. The little O Ring is there and I haven't done anything different from my normal setup, even the juice is the same as always.

Any ideas on what it could be?

Thanks for the help dudes and dudettes

The two small o rings inside the connector post that you can't see seal juice from leaking and may have got damaged or wore out.I know I damaged mine by accident by pulling the connector down too far and not realizing there were o rings inside it and then forced the post back up tearing the small o rings causing it to leak.

This is definitely a help, and thank both you and "jkoppk", but is it the setup the same on a UFS? My UFS was set up very different when I got it. There was an oring on the inside of the column, but that is what got destroyed and caused this problem. There is another o ring that was on the outside of the assembly, in between the hexagonal nut and the bottom of the pin that makes contact with the battery, it seemed out of place though.

Unfortunately, the Canadian GG supplier isn't the best vendor and never keeps anything in stock, lets us know when he has new stock, or updates his website so I have never been able to get the replacement o'ring kit. I know there is the chart with every O ring on it, but I am really not that crafty and it confuses me. Does anyone know the exact gauge of the O ring and somewhere I can buy a bunch? I was thinking about getting that huuuuge kit int he red box that is always for sale online, but there is never a list of what O Rings it comes with so I don't know if it covers everything I would need to fix a UFS or GGTS.

Again, I really appreciate the help. I have never been more than a few minutes without my UFS since I got it, and I am already having a terrible day so I'm scared :(

Funky,e-mail Daniel,I am pretty sure he has spare full kits of o-rings right now.

I bought some recently.

Awesome, and finally; haha. Do you know if they come with the ones for inside the UFS for sure? Like the micro tiny ones that are pretty much brittle plastic they're so thin?

Did you have to pay the $12.00 shipping when he sent them out or just a buck or two?

Yes, the only difference is that the UFS has an extra o ring between the hexagonal nut and the bottom of the pin, meaning your UFS is in order and nothing is out of place.

Does anyone know the exact gauge of the O rings?

The two smaller o rings that fit inside the plastic part are 1mm Cross Section, 2mm Bore. I think on your side of the pond, these would be called 2X1 but would need somebody to confirm, please.

The larger o ring between the hexagonal nut and the bottom of the pin is 1.5mm Cross Section, 4mm Bore. Again, this might be expressed differently in Canada and would need help with confirmation, please.

I purchased a UFS o ring kit from e-cigz London which included the o rings above but I'm sure you could get them from a hardware store for quickness of repair.

The ones pictured were bought seperately, from Simply Bearings UK. I can link the shop for you but I think you will get them much faster at your end. Good luck :)

Also, could I just use my GGTS collector tank in place of the UFS one in some way? Or at least the parts out of it until I get some replacement O Rings?

You could steal the 2 x smaller o rings from the GGTS connector and use those in the UFS until you get replacements.

I would not try to use either the collector tank itself or the pin from the GGTS as those are differently sized to the UFS eqivalents.

Awesome news and info. I really appreciate it. I can now say that I have had all my GG products stripped down to the bare parts. I had a hard time getting the plastic/delrin part of the assembly off, but a couple minutes in the freezer helped a bunch.

I contacted our Canadian GG supplier, apparently he has some in. But I am going to hit up a hardware store and see what I can do.

Thank you again sir, you have helped me more than you can imagine and taught me about a GG part I knew nothing about.

Vape Groovily, my friend. :D

Well done that man. That's good news :)

Not only is the GG a satisfying device in use, it also ends up giving you a sense of satifaction when you fix something that has gone wrong. Win, Win!

I had the very same trouble that you had with the plastic connector piece not wanting to budge. It can sit in there pretty hard and be a stubborn little........

Don't forget to use some vaseline on those smaller o rings when you reassemble and don't overtighten. I do mine more than finger tight but not wrench tight if you get what I mean.

I feel ya dude. I am super satisfied with my GG work today, AND I got a megalodon in the mail :D

That's great! I got two sets of GGTS and UFS from Daniel. What a great day!

Print up Zoranth's illustrations for the assembly and o-ring locations, they ae invaluable. Its always a good idea to put new orings all around when you get a used tank, better safe than sorry and I've been sorry a couple times!!!

That's not a bad idea at all. I should keep them all in a binder or something. It would be sweet to have Zoranth and Imeo autograph them too! I have a feeling in the 2080s all the ecig mods are going to be like gramophones or vintage spiderman comics :D

Seriously, I do keep them in a binder and I ordered 20 of most rings from the oring store, The O-ring Store - Where you can find a huge selection of o-rings, hydraulic seals, o-ring kits and accessories!, We make placing your o-ring order and getting o-rings as easy as possible! Get the o-ring seals you need, in your hands, at a fair price , you'll always have them for replacing ones (and fiddling with other experiments ;))and it gives you a good reason to do that top to bottom clean you need every three to four months on most GGs......:thumb:

OH yeah...this weekend, rain is in the forecast so polydent stuff is in the agenda for all my stuff as well as new o-rings for all.

Ah! I was going to ask you what kind of denture tabs you use. I am also considering picking up a cheap ultrasonic. I was thinking this one because it's in Canada:

Jugheads Jugheads.co Complete Atomizer and Cartomizer Cleaning System.
