Since I started vaping I've been going up and down with analogs.

I've got two Ego-C twists and an AnyVape CVI. It seems like when I get something new, like when I got my gear, or my Vivi Nova, or some new juice I like I get excited and confident that I'll be able to kick cigs.

I'll vape and then smoke 5-10 a day. (I used to smoke 2-3 packs a day).

Well last night I decided to stop buying analogs, and it's been probably 20 hours now and I'm going crazy. I'm thinking about going to grab a pack.

I vape 30ml juice and I can get major vapor out of the CVI.

Anyone have similar problems?

I REALLY want to quit analogs. But still having massive cravings even when chain vaping.

Thanks.

Is that 30ml supposed to to be 30mg nicotine? If so, that seems right, but keep in mind 2-3PAD is a lot too. I'd say don't worry so much about cutting off analogs all together right away... heck even 10/day as opposed to 40-60 is a HUGE improvement. Let it taper off on its own no need to force it.

Yeah, meant 30mg nicotine.

And on the bright side, even when I do have cigs I prefer vaping now, except for those few times a day where it just doesn't quiet cut it. I think I'm just going to buy a pack and limit myself to 3-4 a day. Was hoping I could kick them today but this is torture.

Hate to admit it, but it took me over 3 years to quit completely. The last year I was down to two cigarettes a day, but still couldn't quit.
(I had smoked about 30 a day.)

Finally quit completely about 3 months ago, and don't miss them.

So everyone is different. I wouldn't torture yourself because then you might give up completely and stop vaping.
If you want one, have one. Just look on the bright side and think of all the cigs. you're NOT having. And try to
gradually reduce the cigs. It will almost certainly happen eventually !

Good luck.

No need to make the transition a torturous one. In fact that's probably the best way to make you feel like giving up on it. Scale back when you feel it's right and don't beat yourself up if you slip on some of your goals. Keep at it Scott :)

I wholeheartedly agree with this. It will get easier, just don't force it. If you're smoking 1/2 pack or less per day, that's a HUGE improvement. Count the cigarettes you DON'T smoke, and don't beat yourself up over the ones you do.

Do look into the WTA.. they seem to help a lot of people.
Do you really enjoy your juice? If it's not fantastic, try something else.

Let it come naturally. You'll get there!

It does get easier. Maybe you'd consider also having a few nicotine lozenges. Those always really helped my cravings. But please do be careful with all this nicotine...

Also, the advice above me is good. Even just cutting back is a huge accomplishment. Take it slow. Don't give up. Whenever I was on the verge of relapsing, I would always remind myself why I wanted to quit in the first place.

I was the same way Scott2Quit. Currently I am using a Vivi Nova with a ego twist battery. I found it all comes down to what juice you like. I really love dry menthol I picked some up from Smokey Treats and miked it with some Turkish Blend 36mg nic. It is damn good. I also love Vaping Monkey's "Monkey Cream" I seriously think it has got to be one of the greatest ejuices I have ever had. I am hooked on it lol. I would just keep trying sample packs until you find something that hits the spot. I have not had a analog for 45 days and I don't even miss them.

Here's another tapering quitter. It took me a while to work down the number of cigs I was smoking, but I did manage to drop down to about 10 a day immediately (from 55). I didn't beat myself up over it, and I'd advise you not doing so either. Cutting back like that is a big accomplishment!

Eventually, I tried WTA liquids and those really helped me. I was eventually able to taper back to 3, then 2, then none.

I still get the occasional craving, and the WTA kills that dead with one or two puffs--to the point that I'm still using the same 1 ml clearto I filled last month, and it's three quarters full. Things do tend to run in cycles, I've found. I may go four days with no cravings, then get half a dozen over the next two days, then none again for a while.

Patience, mostly with yourself, is the best thing here. You didn't start smoking overnight, don't demand that you quit overnight if that isn't the best method for you!

Yeah.

I really like a lot of my juices. At first I thought I'd just stick to tobacco flavors, and I still like them sometimes, but I'm usually smoking banana nut bread or some other sweet flavor. And I really like them . I'm just craving cigs for some reason, and it's only a few times a day that I really want an analog.

That sounds familiar, too. One thing I found was to vape for five minutes. If, after that time, I still wanted the analog I let myself have it, no questions asked and no guilt.

About half the time I didn't want it after those five minutes of vaping. That percentage slowly rose.

Even so, there were times during the transition when I said to myself, "This had better get easier soon because it's driving me nuts." It's interesting to note that compared to quitting cold turkey, that wasn't nuts. It was only moderately annoying.

Y'know what? It does get easier, and in retrospect I may have transitioned a little faster than I should have. What cravings I have these days are usually easily brushed aside. If they persist, I give them a shot of WTA and that's the last of it.

I thought it was easy to quit 3 PAD with 24mg. Someone else in my house smokes analogs and it doesn't even bother me. I hit one and it tasted like crap.

We all differ. My cousin needed 24 mg to quit a half pack a day habit. I needed 20 to quit a 2 1/2 pack a day habit. Mom was fine at 12 to quit a pack a day.

Cravings, I found, weren't necessarily attached to the nic levels. There was something missing there for a while. For me, WTA filled the gap (others report it does nothing for them). Once I had those, quitting was a snap. Others need to struggle through the withdrawal to whatever they're addicted to until the nic is enough by itself.

What happened to me is I quit bu accident. I had no plans to quit. I was going to only smoke at work. Only problem is after a couple of weeks I didn't like the taste of cigarettes anymore! So I just stopped buying them. Its all in finding that just right juice. And the first couple of weeks are the hardest.

Try getting you a ecig lookalike for those serious cravings. I have a v2 battery I use sometimes and it always does the trick.
