Hi guys :)

I am trying to find a longer lasting cart filler for my 510 (not shelf life but longer lasting vape time)

For the PTB mod are you guys using the fruity Liptons which doesnt seem to be made of the same stuff as the US version or has anyone tried the PG tips bags? Or another tea bag altogether???

Where are you buying your polyester fiberfil from? or your Eheim fishtank filter? I would prefer an online supplier if anyone can recommend one?

Thanks for your help

Swan

Hi there Swan,
I've used the UK Liptons Pyramid Tea bags with moderate success. I did try all the various filter stuff that people suggest but none out-performed the PTB in my opinion. PM me your snail mail address and I'll be happy to send you some unused fluval filter so that you can try it out for yourself without wasting any money.
That goes for anyone else in the UK that wants some free fluval to try........

So what do you now use if you only got moderate success from PTB?

Thank you for your very kind offer will email you now x

Thx for the PM Swan - I will get that sorted as soon as I've got a moment here.
When I say moderate success with the PTB - I mean it's the best of everything I've tried. I just hate dripping and filling false stop:rolleyes:

PTB is what I use and will continue to use until I can get my mitts on the eagerly awaited GG auto feed system. Then I think I might finally be in vaping heaven:D

The Liptons Pyramid bags in UK are different fron the US ones. The bags there are made of a nylon material ours are more like ordinary ones.
I did a bit of digging and it appears that ASDA have a range of teabags with nylon bags which I will try as soon as I get a chance to go there.
I think I will need to get them soon though as I also read quite a few articles against them mainly because nylon is not biodegradable.
Sainsbury's thought about it but received a torrent of abuse and changed their mind

The pyramid ones I got in Tesco seem exactly like the ones I have seen on several US videos from people here. Are you sure you're talking about the same ones?

Maybe I got it wrong then . The lemon and ginger ones I got had a different material for the bag and so have others.
Which ones did you get? Are you sure the bag is nylon. My ones are different to normal teabag material but are not nylon
Maybe I've got it wrong too? I don't know, I can't be sure mine are nylon. I got the red fruit ones and the bag looks exactly like the ones I've seen on the vids though......

Daft question, I used tetley bags and it was ok for the first vape but that was it. I also use fluval with modorate success is the liptons bag better?
thanks
Bjorn
I've tried them all, and until someone comes up with a better solution, it's the Lipton's pyramids all the way for me. I generally drip onto the cart and the atty. Use the same cart with filler for 2 days or so and then start a new one with new PTB filler.

Received the fluval thank you very much Lisa:D

Have only tried one cart and it appears undistinguishable from standard cart filler thus far – was that your experience also?

I think up to now when I get the DFRF PTB mod spot on it’s the best but its tricky getting it absolutely 100% perfect!

Thanks again

Swan

You're most welcome and yes, this was more or less my experience also. Glad you could try it out though - the more people that try it, the more data we will have on these different methods.

I tried the straw mod with the fluval which did improve all aspects marginally but I a pretty much a Liptons convert all the way now....:)
