So I bought this charger for my first 18650 battery, that goes in my FIRST mech mod. Considering I just wanted to try mech mods out, and wasn't sure I'd be getting more, or more batteries, I went with a nice battery (I know not to go cheap on batteries) but a rather inexpensive charger. I figured it would be okay, considering I got it from rtdvapor.

Anyway, it has 2 charge ports on it, so you can fit two batteries at once. Within a WEEK, the charge port on the right (the one I was using) stopped working. Now, it has been only about 3 weeks, and the SECOND PORT STOPPED WORKING.

They both work if I squeeze the retracting , bottom end tight enough by hand.....but I am certainly not going to do that for an hour while the battery charges. So now I have to find something to place in there, in hopes of keeping the thing tight enough to charge.

For anyone on the fence thinking of getting a cheap charger.....I'd reconsider.

You get what you pay for. Spend cheap, get cheap.

If I were you I'd contact Randy at RTD Vapor, explain your issue with the charger, and see what he can do for you. He stands by his products. I received a bad charger from him about a year ago and he replaced it no problem.

Thanks, I might do that. As of right now, I was able to finagle (sp) with it a bit, and got at least one of the charge ports to work. For the price, I really didn't expect much.

The reason I got it in the first place, was because another chinese company (again, my first time with them, won't order again) sent me the wrong order, and it included a mech mod. I originally didn't order it, and wasn't even going to try a mech mod yet, but since they sent it to me on accident, and didn't reply to my ticket, I just kept it, and figured I'd get a battery and charger to try it out.

Now that I know I like the mech mod a lot, I'll def. order a better charger in the future.

I've been using a Nitcore 4-bay charger for nearly a year now and satisfied with its performance, well under $20.

Also seen a few people relay this anecdote, and wish I had heard it before buying a couple TrustFire batteries: "You should probably avoid anything battery-related from a company with "Fire" in the name."
