Ok, I'm fairly new to all this vaping. Right now I have a volt that uses cartomizers. Can I use a US cleaner to clean them? I'm worried about the cotton filling. I have a few cleartomizers coming to me soon also, will I be able to clean them? I tried reading through the whole thread but my brain started hurting around page 20:confused:

Also I'm waiting for my revolver echo to come in and that uses a clear thing too with a wick. - can I clean that too?

I see people talking about attys but I don't know what they are. Any help is appreciated
Thanks
Kat

Hi Kat, I like your pug! I've been vaping over a year. Cartomizers cannot be cleaned well. The best thing is to toss them when they start tasting off, and change to a fresh one. If you have a tank, those can be cleaned.

The clear thing with the wick can be cleaned. I like the Vivi Nova tanks. Very easy to maintain. I stopped using cartomizers. If you want any more info please feel free to message me.

If you chose to stick with fillered cartos, you can Google "carto cleaning kit" for the kits that the vapor stores sell.

Before cartos came down in price ($1 now for Boge, or less) I used to clean mine and you can definitely get some xtra mileage out of them this way.

Pretty much flush them with hot water, blow them out and let dry for a day.

Thought I would share my experiences here too - a post I made on UKvapers.

    Hi All,

Thought I would share my experience of using sonic cleaners to 'extend' the life of my disposable heads for an EVOD BCC.

    The one I bought was:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/JPL-7000-Ultraso...B00112B0U0

Basically I tried to find one that wasn't too expensive and had a few more positive versus negative reviews across multiple sites.

So the hope was this could provide a better and easier way to clean the gunk that accumulates on the coils as opposed to dry burning. My experience with dry burning was I always / eventually seemed to over do it and then the wick would taste burnt.

Anyway, I had a EVOD head that had been used for about 2-3 weeks with about 3-4ml going through it a day. My ADV juice is a PG from Decadent Vapours, Vanilla Ice which I believe is 80:20 mix.... (correct me if I'm wrong on that one).

The cleaner has a timer for cleaning, so I filled it with hot tap water and dropped the head in for an 8 minute 'clean'.

Now after one 8 minute cycle, it didn't look too good but I though give it a another go. After 16 minutes, half the wraps looked clean.... So i rinsed and repeated and after 4 cycles... it looked good as new.

I have since been using this same head for an additional 1-2 weeks with no issue i.e. now back to the as new great flavor and vapor.

Will update with future cycles including before and after pictures (if possible).

Here is a picture after 2 sonic cleanings and 5 weeks of 3-4 ml's per day, hope it's clear enough...

Going to try and do this a little more frequently, I expect it shouldn't take as long in the cleaner.

Amazon.com: HDE® Cordless Jewelry Watch Ring Gem Sonic Cleaner Tool: Home & Kitchen

I use wine or vinegar, leaves residual flavor on dry wick
    very nice
the vinegar erases all juice smell and residue after rinsing
