Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner for cleaning an atty?

This was suggested on the VaprLife site. Been doing it for a while. Bought the White $20 one from Amazon. Amazon.com: Professional Ultrasonic Jewelry and Eyeglass Cleaner Cleaning Machine: Electronics

I'll use 801s for a few days and 901s for one day. Collect a weeks worth along with carts to do at one time.

I do a couple cycles in a vinegar bath and a few in distilled water, then dry in the sun. I get a very little residue at the bottom of the tub. Gets rid of any previous smell or taste but I then have to completely bathe the atomizer in VG or better yet the much thinner PG. If I don't I get a burnt taste that I think is parts of the heater being dry and burning.

I haven't been doing it long enough to be sure because I'm cycling several but the only atomizer deaths I've had have been infant mortality.

found this and thinking of going to pick it up today on my way to my supplier for some juice. - Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices small enough for attys though has anyone found a good solution to put in to clean with? im just starting this and want to make sure i dont kill mine in the process.

I use an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner with soap and faucet hoy water. Works great!

Soap? Doesn't that leave a residue?

Soap or detergent leave their perfume in my experience. Simple tap water, ultrasound, dry it out, dry burn it, then ultrasound again (to remove the burnt taste from the dry burn), dry, then prime.

Over 6 months on two 510 atomizers. Both perform like new. Lovin' it!

I agree and have used it successfully. After months of trial and observation I've settled on a wash with pure PG (like dissolves like and PG is a solvent) followed by a wash with 155 proof alcohol. To keep the quantity of liquid low I put 4 atties in a small sake cup in the machine.

BTW: great price on your machine and a really nice size.

Haven't had a problem with residue. I run 2 cycles with soap water and faucet hot water, rinse, then run a cycle with just hot water. Clean as new

Distilled water is probably a great idea. No reason to leave mineral deposit build up in the mesh.

I found a 901 atti at the bottom of my washing machine. By the taste it went through the fabric softener cycle. It wasn't soft even though it tasted like Gain. I have a small steamer with a pointy nozzle to remove the unwanted tastes. I use it on atomizers and cartomizers. But it is made by a Canadian Co.
