Once again a strangely agressive post reading way more into what I said and flinging accusations.

The only thing I said I was against was copying logos, not designs.

If I dont want to buy Chinese products, its my right, and my money. And the slightest effort at research will show that Chinese sources are notorious for producing substandard metals.

I dont know where you connected my post to the US Government, but its a simple case of it being my right to get what I paid for.

As for judgement, you are accusing me of lying without a shred if proof, and plenty of glares.

Please calm down and re-read my post. About 80% of what you said doesnt apply.

You seem to be one of those people who only buy clones, and get mad at those who dont. Rest assured, I fully support your right to buy whatever you wish, I pass no judgement on your buying habits, nor do I care what you buy.

That would concetetise the issue much more clearly.

Who is the supposed manufacturer?
Who is the seller? From the OP it isn't clear if the item was purchased from the manufacturer or a thrid party; it could even have been purchased via eBay for all we know.
What is the item? Presumably it is a mech mod.

I bet it is that mod maker who is selling Made in USA mods he more than likely has made in China. There was a thread on it a little while ago... I think the distributor is from South Carolina.

I simply wanted people to know, so that if this sort of thing is important to them, they might research before purchasing whichever mod they chose.

Why would I lie? I gain nothing, and I am neither attacking, nor promoting any brand.

But the whole point of authentics is quality, and to not provide it is a ripoff. I strongly suspect that more than half of the companies that are less than two years old, and charge over $200 are guilty of this.

While I'm sorry you bought a product that you are unhappy with, I question your statement above. Are you basing this opinion on your sample of one?

This was typed in anger, colored by the fact that I have been dissapointed by the quality of the last three newer brands of mods that I have bought.

Me neither. I always love reading posts by people who know things I don't and can use scientific means to illustrate the point. Any opinions you express are beside the point.
I'm quite certain that one of my high ticket mods is of extruded metal. I really don't care though, I like it anyway.

i will bet anyone that about 80% or more of so called authentic's being sold on
the used sales forums are not authentics.
compare this to he market of buying used body piercings.

I only know about this because my great grandpa "Stumpy" used to love talking about the good old days working at the machine shop and playing baseball while he was in elementary school. Even after he lost his left hand to the power hammer, he could still bat better than most kids his age.

First paragraph: If nobody (namely you in this instance) posts the information (namely the mod and/or mfr) where it's searchable (like on this very public forum) with relevant information (a picture and brief description would have gone a long way) THEN NOBODY HAS ANYTHING TO FIND WHEN THEY SEARCH.

Second paragraph: there was only one or two posts after the OP of this thread when I sent you a PM asking you exactly what product you were talking about. Either you missed it :somehow: or you're lying.

It was sent at 8:25 AM either Pacific time because that's where I'm currently at or eastern time because that's what I'm registered under.
