Just wondering if anyone had noticed this advertisement at the top of your ECF today? Is this new? If this is a moot point, by all means delete the thread. But, that looks like some propaganda. Thought SJ might want to know about if he hadn't already noticed.

Dead --the operative word is "could"--you need actual damages--not speculative ones.
And I assume they are going to need actual damages as well.

Maybe they're just fishing, or maybe they have something in mind.
Although I can't imagine what it could be at this point.

If you are a supporting member, do you not see these ads? I never see them...........

Was wondering the same thing Elendil. I'm not a 'Supporting Member' and I don't recall seeing the ads either. Wonder if that has to do with the browser settings. I'm using Firefox, ad blocking and all....?

Solonguniverse you were not logged in when you saw that. I can tell because in your picture the banner at the top on the left says "Register". If you were logged in it would say "User CP". Anyone not logged in will get those ad banners. As soon as you log in they go away. It doesn't have anything to do with the browser.

Well, there you go. Problem solved!

Is it possible to sue a law firm for instigating a frivolous lawsuit that could possibly endanger my life?

I could sue you for typing that question by claiming it has offended me in some way or saying it violated one of my rights. Would I win that lawsuit? More than likely not. But I could still sue. Hell, anyone can sue anyone for anything. Lawyers will do anything if you have the money to pay them.

Sh8t, i started a myspace group the other day for us vapers. First time I loaded up the page . . Bam. . . sponsored google link to a website selling "herbal vaporizers". I contacted myspace explaining that it would give the wrong impression as to what exactly i was vaporizing. I emailed them a week and a half ago and of course have heard nothing.

I am currently logged in to ECF (says "Welcome, JerseyGirl" at the top of the page) and I've got the same advertisement staring me in the face.

So I called the number, just for sh*ts and giggles, let it ring about 15 times - no answer.

The link under the advertisement eventually leads to a website for "Parker Waichman Alonso LLP," a law firm that appears to specialize in class action lawsuits brought against the makers of defective drugs and medical devices. I'm thinking about filling out the "Free Case Review" form on their front page, just to see if someone will contact me, and what they'll say. I'm betting they would, they seem a bit... rabid, hehe...
