Ok so have to different issues I'm dealing w/ at present:

#1 Ok, so I tried dripping for the first time tonight w/ a Smoke Tech LR Bridgeless atty. After watching a bunch of videos, I blew out the primer fluid, wiped it all down and dropped two drops of juice into the white part in the middle. Put my drip tip on and took a toot. Very little vapor and an awful burnt taste. Hmmm. I took the tip off and looked inside. There appears to be some sort of clearish-looking material in the middle of the white piece (nylon wick I'm guessing?) Anyhow, this thing appears to be absorbing the drops when I drip into the atty. Is this the wrong way to do it? Should I be trying to actually get the liquid further down into the atty?

#2 My Kgo kit came w/ 5 smok Tech XL 1.7 Ohm Cartomizers. I haven't used them due to also ordering some of the Boge LRs w/ the kit. However, I'm down to the Smoke Techs now and went to fill them. When I popped the white end cap off, there is some sort of clear plastic "seat" at the very top of the carto, just under the end cap. It has a hole in it and I can see what looks like filler material below it. What is this? Do I just remove it?

The clear plastic seat is more a gasket used to keep juice from coming back up on you, it can just be pulled so you can better see the polyfill to fill the carto up. As for dripping on the atty, I'd suggest dripping 3 or 4 drops and letting it soak in, it's possible that you need to let the wick prime with whatever you're wanting to drip so you don't burn the wick up.

When it comes to dripping, I'll usually do 5 drops on a fresh atty, let them soak in for a few minutes, take a drag or two and then add a couple more drops. It works well for me.

Edit: I also use Resurrectors (Smoketech 1.7 XL cartos) and have never seen the clear plastic. Mine have always just had a little rubber piece that needs to be pulled out.

Hi Slovatish, Generally you will load up the atty with a few more drops initially. The white stuff is there to hold the liquid close to the little heater element so its supposed to be there. After saturating a new atty its best to take a few draws WITHOUT inhaling, reason being you need to burn off the gross shipping fluid most often called primer. Its job in this whole thing is to keep the atty moist for the weeks/months etc between manufactre and use. Normally about six to ten good long burns on the atty without inhaling while maintaining sufficient liquid will be enough to rid it of most of the rather gross primer fluid. At this point you may want to blow the liquid through the mouth piece end while holding a bit of paper towel close to the threadded end to help force out the rest of the primer fluid. After that add a couple more drops of your liquid and you should be good to go.
About the smoktek cartos im not certain but I believe you do in fact need to remove the plastic so you can get those filled as they should be. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Blow the primer out before adding any liquid. That will get most of it out.

The XL cartos hold 2ml of fluid. The general rule is that 20 drops equal 1ml. Bottles/tips vary though so with some it could be more or less. It also varies on the cartos (even within one pack) since the filler in them isn't always the same density (for lack of a better word). The best way to fill cartos (IMO) is with a syringe. Standard Boge cartos hold about 1ml of liquid.

give it a good 3-4 drops and let it sit for a second. new attys have abreak in. You will taste the primer for the firdt few puffs.

The cartomizers get dripped right into the filler. Avoid the middle hole. Drip slowly a few drops while holding the cart at an angle and rotate drip some more, rotate. Takes about 15-20 drops. About twice that for xls. Put them upright on a towel for a minute or two and come back and see if you can get more in until you feel a drop out of the hole in the threads. Wipe it off well and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. Blow it out into a tissue like you did the atty and clean the threads off well.

You don't have to put the inner seal if you don't want to. Hust the end cap. Did you get any drip tips? Those carts can get a little warm.

slovatish post #6: The Smoktech single coil 1.7 or 2.0 ohm LR XL will take anywhere from 50-60 drops from a bottle on the first filling. That's about 2.0ml. After that I refill each with about 20-30 drops. The idea is to keep the carto moist at all times to prevent burning or scorching. Both of these cartos produce a lot of vapor with a 3.7V battery but they run hot. I used to smoke 1.5 packs per day. I refill two cartos per day. The cartos last me 10 days or more before flavor is affected and I change them out with new cartos.

Yeah have a few drip tips I use w/ my Boge LRs sometimes, thanks for the tip on the XL running hotter. I'm still playing around w/ this atty. Blew out all of the first juice I put in and added another two drops. Gave a really good vape on the first draw, then back to the burnt taste/low vapor on the 2nd. I guess I'll just have to keep playing w/ it until it's broken in. Thanks for the help everyone. I was excited to finally try dripping tonight, but so far this has been a pain in the *** compared to cartos. Oh well, gonna keep at it and see what happens. Which brings me to another question. How easy is it to change flavors in an atty?

Yeah, like a nylon-looking wick. Check out the video below. He calls them "threads", but it looked more like a wick in mine. His is has a bridge which blocks the view, but you can see it at around the 5:20 mark. I just took mine out and the thing hits 100% better. Do they make attys w/ no wick?
