Unable to post using laptop

I'm on ipad now so no problem posting. But using my laptop, which is windows 8 OS, it's pretty much impossible to post replies nor start thread. Since I have no problem posting using other devices like desk top (windows 7) and iPhone, ipad I wonder if it a compatibility issue because of windows 8? I notice every now and then I see a little message come up that says "auto saved" maybe this is causing the incompatibility issue.

What browser are you using on windows 7 ?
and windows 8?
Please describe "it's pretty much impossible to post replies nor start thread". Are the icons missing?

Are you using IE 10? Have you tried using another browser such as Firefox, Chrome or Opera?

Ah ha!!! you solved my problem when you asked what browser I was using. With windows 8, it hard to tell what browser i'm using lol. But I hit the Go To Desktop icon, which took me to where I can use IE what ever number, probably 10 seeing how this laptop is brand new. And I am writing this using my laptop. Viola !!! I'm brand new to windows 8 and still learning stuff about it. Thanks a bunch.
