Whenever I try to respond to a thread in another forum, I get a message saying that my message needs approved by a moderator. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any help and I love this place.

As a noob, you have to have a certain # of posts to be able to post elsewhere.

Well, actually, he can post anywhere. He just can't start threads at this point except for in the newb forum.

Hi What is that number, is there a list that exists for new members, also this should be my 200th post and either I am an idiot, ( whiich, I kinda am) cos I have difficulty starting a thread as well

My very first post actually ended up doing a double post. Something with the Facebook connect screwing up. I did report my double with an explanation. I just wonder if that could have caused the problems.

You should be able to start new threads at I think it's like 15 posts. If you are having a problem cos, I'll make a note to SJ. You should be able to start new threads with your post count.

Yeh, it is weird. I am not aware anything got screwed up with that first duplicate post. I deleted it myself as a duplicate, with no apparent warning. Hmmm.

BTW...here's the newb rules about posting:
New members have reduced permissions for the first few posts they make, meaning that new threads cannot be started in any of the forums except for the New Members' Forum.
New members may still post in any existing threads providing they follow the rest of the rules.
So you should be okay now.

Thanks Samb! Everything seems to be working fine now. I actually used to admin a big political forum, so I know how fickle the software can be (especially VBulletin). Add to that the fact I develop web based software for a living and I really know how bad it can be. It could push me to a three cartridge a day guy

Cos, go to the home page, then to the forum you want to post in, then click on the "New Thread" button on the top left. Let me know if that works.
