Hi, I thought I'd try a 2mm coil in my igo l, previously was a 1.5 diameter, was built ok but when firing the coil it gave of some nasty looking vapour, looked poisonous so I smelt the plumes and the smell so vile like a dead animal, I took a drag anyway and it taste like a dead animal too, iv replaced the cotton, it was still there, remade a 1.5 coil again and it's still there, iv experienced burnt taste and dry hits but this is so disgusting I dont want to play about with it anymore

perhaps your coils were touching some sort of insulation. I've vaped everything from a 1.5mm silica, to a 9.0ish silica, and cotton everywhere in between. Nothing wrong with a larger coil, as a matter of fact, I tend to prefer a large coil. No dead animal smell. It was probably just something odd about the build. too bad you didn't take pics of the coil.
