Okay, I am new here... I have been looking at the new member forums for some time, and everyone seems to be in lockstep on the volt from smokeless image. I'm not gonna lie. I am suspicious. I have even seen promotional coupons. Are those that promote this brand/website combination on the payroll?

I doubt it. It's just the most known kr808d-1 model. A few months ago when Kr808d-1 models were mentioned, I think it was v4l or vapour king ones that were mentioned the most because they had a 10 second cut off.

Now that the volt batteries are "sealed" on the top they are considered the best for slim automatic batteries.

Other Kr808d-1 vendors are out there such as the halo g6, and what used to be hailed as the best - the bloog.

It also comes down to price. The volt ones are amongst the cheapest.

Just sound advice is why they're mentioned so often. If anyone was going to put me on their payroll it wouldn't be a site that sells slims because I always tell new starts specifically not to start with a slim battery like the kr808d-1 unless they're completely adamant they need one like that.

Though, I would say, that is only for cigarette lookalikes or "slim" batteries. Otherwise, you'll find the exact same for bigger batteries; everyone will tell you to stat out with a riva/kgo or ego battery or just say why don't you just get something really powerful like the lavatube and provari.

Anyone associated with an e-cig company is not allowed to post about it in the regular areas here. This is a very thoroughly moderated forum, the Mods run a tight ship here. If something is getting a lot of good press here, it's because it's working for a lot of people. But remember that doesn't mean it is guaranteed it will work for you, the research is up to you and that may mean buying something that it turns out, you don't like. Don't give up, it gets easier every year. :)

I hate mini-cigs. (see my sig). I generally recommend a kgo or an e-Power to a rank noob. But if someone is absolutely hellbent on a mini-cig, I recommend a Volt, or a Bloog, or a Halo G6.

The reason you see the same website mentioned for the Volt is that, AFAIK, it's the only one that sells it. The Bloog is the same thing, and it's only sold on one site as well. Kgos and others are sold by various vendors.

If I'm getting a commission, I'd sure like to see it. I need a new car.

You can usually spot an advertising post masquerading as a real user post. They will start off saying how great a product is, and then will lead into a laundry list of all the stuff that's so great. These posts usually get locked right away.

I think the volt gets recommended a lot to people who feel that they just must have a cig sized battery, and the posts about it usually read as pretty sincere to me.

After my first fling with a mini, I moved up to larger batteries and I'd usually recommend a mini to only the lightest user or someone who insists that looking like a real cig is extremely important to them.

Nope, not on their payroll either. LOL! Personally, I don't care for minis anymore. Started with one but all that did was get me off analogs and I moved on to a Lavatube. But for those that insist on a mini, volt is prob one of the better ones out there.
I don't own a kgo but many seem to like it. Just get extra batteries for it. It's a 510 thread so assessories are plentiful. :)
