I am very new to dripping and vaping. I wanted to try dripping went to the store one lad sold me plume veil clone and because I was out and about I dropped in to another store and a young lad sold me an el diablo Baal ( both were the same price) I am glad I got two the plume confused me I put it together upside down, then I over filled it the little holes were hard to see. The eldiablo Baal is the cats meow, it has flat head screws, very large holes in the posts, a large base that holds more drops has twelve air holes on the case and a picture of Baal so I don't put it together upside down both of them spit and sizzled when I tried pretty drip tips but both stopped once I used the tips that came with them. I cannot for the life of me figure why I might need something other than the el diablo it has not leaked and fits very well together and the taste of the juice is lovely I did have to drop the nic level from 12 to 3 though

loving all the replies on this thread! hopefully we get some more!

The Aeolus by Syntheticloud is by far the best RDA I've ever used. Explosive flavor, good vapor production and it does not leak. Unfortunately as far as flavor attys go, most are recommending the Derringer which I found to be a bit overrated in comparison.

i have been debating on getting an Aeolus for quite some time. I've seen great reviews for it everywhere i have looked, i just think it might be a bit too big for my liking. that leads me into the Derringer. i like the sleeker more compact attys and was also thinking about getting this one.

The REM atty is pretty great too. Gawdawful build with these absolutely ridiculous slotted negative posts, but it is a performer. Top airflow, similar to a rogue but short like a derringer. I have a modded one from catfish on my sunbox e7 right now. Big flavor and big vapor. Very nice adjustable airflow.

like the Derringer i was thinking about the REM atty as well! like i said, i like the sleek aesthetic of the Derringer, REM and Haze MINI.

Haze Mini.
I would say the Kennedy, but thats a bit of a specialist RDA.

if only i won the mega millions the other night...i would own all of these!

question: i typically save up money and buy almost everything authentic. i see all of these available on FT. you guys think i should try out FT or still go with buying all authentic?

Still use my igo-l and my igo-w. But I always go back to my nimbus. And I'm one of those people who has to have the best of the best. I own all the new rda's that are all the rage right now. They sit on my vape stand unused. My #1 is the nimbus, #2 is my igo-w with a cap I made (makes it A little shorter than the freak show mini),#3 is my patriot base with the mephisto cap.
IGO-W was my first RDA, currently in use with my son.

My current RDA is an authentic gun metal Patriot.

If you take the heat sink adapter off, the size of the Aeolus isn't much different then other RDA's.

Baditude, totally off topic of this thread but i have to absolutely say thank you to you. I read every one of your blog entries, some way more than once, and still reference them today. You sir, are the man and i thank you for giving me the proper education to advance up the ladder.

The only RDA I have currently is the Derringer, which I love. 3 post, super compact (a plus when you're trying to fit your mod in a holster) and gives great flavor and clouds. Underrated? Probably not. I see a lot of people talking about it. I'd say the Magma is a little over hyped, but that's my opinion based on my 2 builds total I've done on one.

I've been seriously considering buying an Aeolus. Does anyone know how the airflow on it compares to the Tugboat v2?
The Aeolus has a little less air than the tugboat v2 but it has plenty of air! The flavor is better and it doesn't leak.

The Magmas not that bad but its really for MTL hits only.. Just not enough airflow for big lung hits.. The day I got my Derringer, the Magma went to the land of forgotten atomizers in my house.

Im still kinda shocked at how relatively unknown the Samurai Bonsai is. I have the cheap $8 clone from Angelcigs, and its unseated the Derringer as my go to RDA.. Theyre both pretty similar but the Bonsais definitely got the edge over here. Im still hoping Tobeco or EHPro or Infinite get in and clone it one of these days so I can buy a few more.. So far Ive only seen the Angelcigs one (which isnt a 1:1, its got a slightly taller topcap) and the Fasttech ones which dont even have the airholes lined up right so it only works for single coils. The Angelcigs one is pretty rad, especially for only $8 but the SS feels pretty thin and flimsy and Im pretty sure I could bend some of those parts with my bare hands and enough pressure.

Thanks for that. I've already purchased a Mutation V4 and a Derringer this week. Might as well go for the hat trick! [emoji6]

Never heard of anyone regretting buying the Aeolus. With the exception of the tugboat v1, its the only RDA I bought 3 of. You'll love it and its a good price.

How much is the authentic? I'm just wondering if it would be worth it. $8 for better than my Derringer sounds incredible though.

I think its around $80-90 or so. Even that one is fairly tough to find online hah. Its made by Cloud Factory.
My only complaint with the Angelcigs clone is, with the authentic and even the FT clones, you get a driptip that matches the AFC rings color. Angelcigs just gives you the white POM driptip with all of em and I really wanted a black one!!! :D

I would not waste my money if it didn't match my mod. All my kits are not blacked out and I'm not having anything mess with that lol.

If you only run single coils, the Fasttech ones look exactly like the authentics. The only problem is, if you look at the airholes on the top cap, they didnt cut them right so no matter what, only one airhole will ever line up with a coil. I think there might be ONE of the many versions they have that got it right, but I dont want to wait a month just to save a buck or two heh. I just ordered a $2 drip tip when I ordered the Bonsai anyways that solved the problem.

I absolutely love my Mephisto Clone (v1). Huge post holes for bigger gauge leads, nice juice well, very simple design. Everything being so big makes it a breeze to build on,and you can also fit the bigger coils, for you Clapton and macro fans out there. I honestly think everybody should have one, for the ease of use at least.
