You are serious? This is really a stretch, I can't see any maker shutting down a very popular product because of an untrue rumor. He isn't even removing the product, he is reformulating it without the whitener. This is pretty obvious.
Let me bold it for you.
Let me see if I understand what has happened in this thread. A vendor comes on here and posts that a competitor is using a dangerous chemical in their juice with no proof. Since no business in the history of ever has made up false accusations against a competitor, people on here freak out.

This has led me to one of the following conclusions, listed in no particular order:

1. The juice contains a dangerous chemical and the vendor didn't know, which is bad, or didn't care, which is worse, and is now changing the mix to remove it, which is good.

2. The juice mix was going to be changed to stop clogging coils and a competitor found out and decided to spread lies about why the change was occurring.

Now as of right now no one here knows what the truth is, since it's all speculation. Just remember serious allegations require substantial proof, not just hearsay.

Since the two "whistleblowers" were banned by an ECF mod for the reason of being unregistered forum suppliers doesn't that then verify that they are who they claim to be? Or is it an ECF practice to ban any person who claims to be a vendor (providing they are unregistered and not following the forum rules)? Legitimate question here, not trying to cause any trouble but that would then further the fact that they were telling the truth.

This is an excellent point.

Yes, and all this back and forth about whether it's true or not, could easily be put to rest by the manufacturer and/or vendor, by them simply putting out a statement either confirming or denying that this chemical is used in the making of the juice! It doesn't look good when there have been stories about this all day and night on the internet, yet the company has yet to say a word about it!

So was the juice pulled and orders cancelled because it had a dangerous chemical or because the accusation was made and it was easier to not sell it than deal with the backlash because of it?

And there is why the B&M's are pulling it off the shelves and giving refunds.

Oh crud!! I got all excited about this juice since on another thread it was compared to strawberry nesquick. What a very sad situation...will be interesting to see where this goes, but hey, this thread was certainly entertaining to read through to say the least.

no kidding, same here. O well I guess, ill just buy some nesquick and drink it instead lol

We always strive to entertain the masses :)

Seriously though? It was really tasty juice. But even though the recipe is being changed by the maker of the juice...i won't be partaking as all of this left a sour taste in my mouth. And if anyone else decides to buy the new formula-that's their choice. Just as it was my choice to buy the 1st recipe without waiting to see what panned out in relation to the many questions brought up on this fine forum regarding what chemical gave UniMilk its' unusual color...

pulling it from shelves and cancelling orders are the vendors who sold it protecting themselves from possible blow back. The manufacturer did not pull the inventory right? these vendors who sold it are paranoid because of the fear spread in threads like this, without any factual reports. Mere rumors as stated by Pure Vapor in that FB post.

vendors pulling unicorn milk does not confirm that cuttwood has, intentional or not, added titanium dioxide.

where is this lab report with the results? If the lab results did show titanium dioxide then where is it? are we seriously continuing an argument based on claims without a shred of evidence? everyone just believes it.

What about Ghost guns that shoot a 30 caliber clip in 1/2 a second? You guys buy into that too? He is a CA state senator, certainly more "credible" than the unknown person with 6 posts who claims cuttwood admitted to him. But the senator is full of crap and as far as we know so are these claims against cuttwood.

this whole controversy is still based on hearsay. Growing suspicion about Cuttwood's silence is just paranoia. It hasn't even been 24hrs and you want a press release. Cuttwood should be careful how they respond because it could be a fork in the road for their company. Maybe they are having a lab test it themselves and waiting for results before coming forth. There are many reasons to not respond with a hasty answer and dig a deeper hole than the internet already created.

again, I'm neither for or against Cuttwood. I'm debating public reactions to claims made by unknown people. If you feel safer not vaping until you know the truth. Knock yourself out. But realize what is actually fact at this point and what isn't.

Pure Vapor isn't the judge or jury here.

I hear you man. Just....speechless.

So am I. And I'm tired of the idiotic fights, arguments and personal attacks that are breaking out here more and more. I realized I wasn't posting in a lot of threads, because I knew the usual ridiculous arguments would break out, yet again - and usually involving the same people.

I'm done. I don't like the tone this place has these days.

Later.

PS - i came back to see if I could erase all of my posts. Make your snarky comments, if you want.

Did you read the third comment down from them on that post?

Yes, they basically said that even though they didn't have proof yet they were concerned enough to pull it off the shelves.

At all their locations.

And their website.

And give refunds to anyone who bought it.

Also hundreds upon hundreds of posts about this on the manufacturer's Instagram page yet not a single response. Thousands of comments across multiple websites and not a single piece of damage control. That seems quite fishy.

One would think that being an ECF mod you would err on the side of caution and advocate for the safety of the vaping community but that doesn't seem to be the case. You're not telling people to calm down and wait for evidence like a neutral entity. You're just saying "look, look, no proof yet!" I will gladly apologize to each and every one if it turns out the product is titanium dioxide-free.

Just wait for the media/lawmakers to gets their hands on this.
