Hello to the person that asked about heating on her device.
This is probably the most common problem that vapers have. I know I still have it and I have bought a lot of units.
I lost my new Kangertech--internal tank unit and I want to harm the person who found it and just gets to use it OR doesn't even know what it is and it is sitting on their shelf. Now I am back to the outside tank and the slight leaking and all of the problems that the internal tank solves.
I can tell you this and it goes for all units. IF you are new to this-- you have to learn a few things and the first one is to SLOW DOWN. You can't take a hit every minute and expect ANY unit to recover from that. IF there is one out there I am sure there will be people bragging on it and you will be able to discover what it is. I would ask a lot of questions and ask the place where you buy it to guarantee that it wont get hot. Getting hot is a part of the process and you have to allow for that.
Also you have to smoke it differently than a cig. You have to hit the thing like it is a joint-- inhale the vapor directly from the tip into your throat. No two steps just one. That will give you a better hit and you will get a big bang for the buck. Also you can't hit the unit over and over and not expect that it will stay cool.
Put a drop on water on your stove and see how fast the oven gets hot and burns the water off. Turn the oven off and then put another drop of water on the stove-- it will quickly get hot and evaporate. Keep doing that and see how long it takes to cool off.
That may give you an idea of what goes on inside of your unit. So to quote a line from an old western that starred Tom Selleck.. "You will get a more harmonious outcome" if you... slow down a bit. You can take a big hit into your lungs and get your shot of nicotine. You can even get another in just a few seconds and then y0u have to slow down.
Put the unit down in front of a small fan ( that is what I have--a fan about as big as a dolls hat. It keeps my units cool. IF you run hot all of the time-- you will ruin it sooner or later and you will go through coils MUCH faster.
The next thing is to buy as much as you possibly can from the begining. Don't mess around with the cheap ones. Get the best you can possibly get and " You will get a more harmonious outcome." Then buy a spare and you will have a much better time that is not plauged with heat and leaks and not working right.. Just get one that costs about $80.00 to 90.00 and ask them if they will guarantee it if they will demonstrate THAT unit that you are buying in the store.
This advice is GOOD. I have followed it since I used to build sound systems and guitars when I was only 20 years old. I bought the top of the line knowing that it would be obsolte when I bought it.
Phones are like that and vaping is like that. Horses are like that. Guns are like that. Cars.
IN this case-- it is only a few dollars more and it will make ALL of the difference. Believe me-- you will end up spending more messing around with the cheap ones. Get the Best. Kangertech is a good brand and they have had some losers too.
I hope this helps. Slow down a bit and " You will have a more harmonious outcome....."
Find a store that gives you a break for being a good customer. Go to the same store to buy your unit and your coils and your fluids... Tell them you will be a loyal customer and you expect to have good prices.
IF they say they don't give good deals....Go to another store.
