The two most common issue I see posted about clearomizers are leaking, and dry/burnt hits. For some reason, I have this uncanny feeling that most of the people who experience these issues, are 1.) not properly tightening/screwing their unit together, and/or 2.) they are running at too high of a voltage.

For issue #1: Make sure your atomizer coil head (whatever you want to call it) is not unscrewing itself from the base unit that screws onto the battery, or you will be leaking onto the battery.

For issue #2: Turn your voltage down. You're going to get a real nasty hit sooner or later at 4.7 volts, and if you keep vaping at that high voltage, the taste won't go away. Try 3.8 volts. Also, give your unit time to wick up when juicing up a new coil head or changing liquid.

Should this be pinned?

but it's leaking cos i run tank-cracker juices, and 90% vg (cos i'm allergic to peanuts and pg), and the button is stuck and won't adjust, and if i screw it all together too hard i have to use a paperclip to raise the centre pin to get it to work at all.

All i wanna do is run $6 batteries with 0.15Ω coils and cloud chase - sheesh. 21st century and all. Don't understand it.

Ah, but you are coming from the assumption that every one of those threads are from ecig users running Variable Voltage devices. Many are on standard egos.

Also, it is not always "user error." Yes, there is a learning curve. But there are also things such as "poorly built coil head assemblies" and "lack of quality control."

I always laugh when I see these threads. The dry hits, I can understand, it takes a little bit of nasty hits to learn how hard you can run a specific coil. But the leaking I just don't get. I've had one clearo leak and it was because it was a dud out of the package. I'll mention something about a mini pt2 and get comments saying, oh they suck, they constantly leak. They don't if you tighten everything correctly.

Just because it has not been mentioned yet, air holes are there for a reason, keep them clean!

For example, a co-worker with a mini PT2 and loves it, until it starts leaking non-stop and he is ready to toss it in the trash, I stop him and look it over, notice the tiny air holes are all plugged with gunk from lack of cleaning.. Small bit of wire to poke through the holes and a nice hot bath and he loves it again.

Guys, I am working on an octonanodragoncoil for this rba that I had custom forged using the trace amounts of gold found in asteroid impact sites around the globe on my mod fashioned from stealth grade carbon fiber harvested from aircraft downed in Iraq during the shock and awe campaign. I am using 7.4293 guage kanthal quintuple-braided so as to resemble 8th century anglo-saxon textiles and genetically-modified-to-be-heat-resistant hemp wick--and I can't quite reach .0000003 ohms. I'm worried that I'm not getting the right "hit" as my plutonium-infused ejuice must achieve fission or the bottle says I risk dying of leukemia in 3 days. Any ideas?

Rumor has it a build like this is only doable during a Supernova. You need to catch some of the shockwave in a bottle. Only then will a build like this be doable....and safe
