I just got a universal USB charger from Health Cabin in the mail today. I decided to try to use it with my Tornado battery. I'm not sure if it's functioning properly though.

For those who have this charger, does the LED light red, but briefly blink blue every 7 seconds as the battery is charging?

I'm not sure if it's making proper contact.. I just checked on it, and when I pressed on it, the light was flickering back and forth from red to blue, and if I pressed the battery in, the light stayed blue... so at this point I'm not sure if it's even working.

Huh, well I pulled the battery out but left the charger in and the LED stays blue. When I push the battery back in, the white LED on the Tornado battery blinks indicating that it's charging, and the charger LED turns red.

So I guess it is working, albeit ridiculously slow. It's been in there 6 hours and it's not finished charging, and the battery wasn't even completely drained.

Oh well, it was only $4 at the time.

I contemplated trying the one that came with my Blu Cigs kit on my 510 batteries. It appeared to have the same charge rate and mAh rating according to the specs on the USB charger as the wall charger I got with my 510 but when I plugged it in, the light remained blue instead of red.

Red indicates it is charging, and yes, it will briefly blink blue. I would usually wait until it remained blue for 30 seconds or more before considering the battery fully charged.

Oh, you don't want to use that charger with your 510 batteries. As far as I know, the polarity is reversed. If there isn't any protection built into that charger, it could fry your batteries. Swapping atomizers works only because the polarity doesn't matter, they'll work either way.

Anyway, the charger finally turned a solid blue after about 10 hours... lol. Ah well, slow charge is better than no charge (don't much like the wall charger, cord is too short to be of any use). Slower charge also means a healthier battery, from what I've gathered... so no complaints, especially for $4.

Though I have thought about opening the charger up to see if I can mod it to output a higher mAh.... :D

Yes my WickedEgo does the same thing but it does turn geen when it is done .
And it is a usb it should charge in about 2 hours you may not have the right wall plug or your PC is not strong enough.
Also how the heck do you get the ego in that are you using an adapter?
I would not use any usb that you can not screw the battery in TMO

The time of charge depends on the output of the charger. It's limited to 150mAh because it's meant for the smaller batteries, unlike the 'mega charger' which has a higher output.

It works well actually without having to screw in the battery. In fact I prefer it, since it's a lot quicker to just push into the slot. And yeah I'm using the adapter that came with the Tornado kit.
