Just wondering - does ELP's Universal USB Charger work on KR808D-1 batts as well as the Joye models (e.g. 510)?

It looks different from the little USB dongles sold by some of the China suppliers as "Universal" so I'm wondering if this one has the same versatility (I like the longer cord on ELP's model, so I'm hoping it fits what I need).

Thanks!

What amp and mah is that Universal Charger...............should be at least 1 amp for the kr808 and at least .5 amp for the 510 although the 1 amp is better for the 510 also???????

Whoops sorry, I was thinking she meant the wall charger/usb. By the way, what is the Amp or mah on that wall charger/usb??

It isn't that hard to look on the charger and check the amps. It just surprises me how little suppliers know about what they sell. You aren't the only one, I must have asked about 2 suppliers and no one knows the amps...sheesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Post the specs so we know what we are buying!

Sandy,

You are probably not getting good answers from the suppliers because you are confused regarding the chargers.

mAh (milli-Amp hour) is a rating for batteries, not chargers. It is an indication of "capacity". In other words.. how much energy is stored in the battery.

"Amps" can be used when talking about chargers... but it rarely is. The numbers that you listed (1A for the KR808D-1 and .5A for the 510) are not correct. Not even close. You may have been thinking of the current ratings for USB adapters for pass-throughs. But even at that.. your numbers are wrong.

You could use the 901 PT off the plugin wall adapter also, but in that case the 1 A/1000 mA is even more important, as its "sucking" current straight from the adapter.

In the 510 case if you don't get enough power from whatever you have it pulled into, it will loose strength over time as the battery dies (assuming you are starting with a charged batt in the PT) because it is being drained at a greater rate than it can charge. For the 901, if the power from the adapter is not there, it will be a continuously bad vape.

I got this today from a friend of mine who uses it for her PT (not a 510):

I tried MANY others before I tried this one It's cheap and works At this price I'd get 2

This is the one she uses:

USB Dual Power Adapter

* 2Amps Power = FAST Charging

Power Weight
• Input: 100-240 VAC 50/60HZ 3.0 oz
• Output: 5.0V DC +/- 5%
• Current (1 port): 2A Dimensions
• Current (2 port): 1A 2.7"L x 2.0"W x 0.7"H
2 USB ports in one sleek lightweight package.

Sandy,

You are confusing the heck out of the issue.

The OP asked about battery chargers. Chargers for the batteries that are used on the KR808D-1 and other PV's like the 510.

You are off on some tangent talking about USB adapters and "wall chargers" that can be used to power a PT (Pass-Thru).

Different subject... different items.. different purpose.
