I am positivly capable, but would rather pay somone to do it for me.. Not obsessed with building gadgets or anything of the sort. That's why people make them and sell them, so pp dont have to deal with it. :) Yes, they will explode, as is the title of this thread, why would anyone try to charge non-rechargables?! :) SO these aftermarket protection circuits can be put in any mod? What is a balancing charging circut, you mean for the batt charger?? Lets hope a charger has one. Thanks for the tip!

They all barely worked, the 3.2's didn't work at all. I do have a meter and did check them, they were dead.

The charger is one of those cheap, black, slider ones, I will be getting a better one. The non-rechargables are still going, VERY HOT! lol. I tried charging the rechargabales, said they had a full charge, then took them out, and said they had no charge again. The multimeter read way under what they should be.

Have you verified your charger works correctly?
Did you mention the brand of batt?

What does it matter if the batts are dead? (That I am sure of). I'm pretty sure the charger is working. The batts are blue, ICR18350 and IFR16340.

You can check the charger test it with your meter it should read 4.2 volts , there is a lot of misinformation about batteries out there for some real GOOD info google Battery University ! they have real info that is from actual engineers that specialize in batteries .

Li-IOn batts do not like over charging and over discharge ( over discharge can lower life but will not blow them up ) a DEAD short across them is the WORST CASE this causes out gassing or explosions . also OVER voltage like hooking one up to a 12volt car batt. will do this so do not do that LOL .

We will see about this vendor.. thehouseofvapor.. lol, I offered to send them back to him, so HE could test them with a meter, (He didn't seem to beleive me, that they were DOA).. I wrote a review on his fb page, as he said I could, and said all great things, and the only thing I had to complain about was the dead batts.. Even after saying buy the indulgence from his shop and not eastmall, (because I hate them), he erased it.. hahahar. WOuld be nice if he sent me some new batts, I really doubt it. While I was shopping on his page, I had my "shopping cart full", then when I cam back, the limit for free shipping had been raised ten dollars.. who does that??

A horrible vendor (honestly). If it's like that and the vendor doesn't replace the batteries than I personally wouldn't deal with them again. I like to deal with vendors/people that actually know how to do business the right way in general.

I will not be dealing with him again. But, I didn't want to order the indulgence from China, because I wanted it faster, and if there were any problems, I wanted them resolved quickly, but that doesn't look like it's going happen either. I needed the indulgence right away, because it's cheap for the whole setup. Every=80, inculding batts. But looks like I'll be needing to order batts anyway so Im SOL. lol, I agree, I would rather buy from someone who has a good rep and customer service then a vendor that just has the mod I need. Also, the tennessee cured I ordered from him tastes 2 years old. Shady...

I'm pretty sure the indulgence doesn't have protection circuits. If you must use those bats, supposedly they are more unstable when they are discharged too much or charged too much. Most li-on chargers are smart enough not to overcharge but, I can't say whether yours is. Get them on the charger early.

Can a Kensington 4-port USB charger overcharge? I couldn't find info about this at the Kensington site.

TIA,
Dave
