Unregulated Mods & 10 sec Shut Off (DONT WANT)

hello there, first time posting here.. but long time vapor. Currently im using the new Kanger Dripbox 160 and let me just say this thing is a beast!!Freakin amazing, I've been thru a couple drippers, and this one by far is the best.. I had the unfortunatlcy to purchase the kanger EZ-drip and let me just say DONT DO IT!!!But ill save that for another thread. Right now im trying to find a mod that DOES not have a ten second cut off. I'm building a device, and it requires a mod without a auto-shutoff. does anyone have any advice??

Hi and welcome! I think your title answers your question. An unregulated mech mod will not have a 10 second auto off.

that's what I was thinking, but I guess I was hoping otherwise, cause all the unregulated mods I see are expensive as hell!

15 seconds long enough? Custom firmware avail for Joye/Eleaf products.
I don't DNA, but I presume you can modify the time out into the 15-20 second range easily.

Not sure about the "original" dripbox - it's unregulated, but it does have a chip. So, for instance, while it gives you straight battery voltage, it does have a 5-click cutoff. Not sure if it has a 10-second cutoff.

Then there's straight mechanical - like a Coppervape, no chip, no cutoff, no fuse, just a button and a battery.

Both under $30

Edit - I was thinking squonkers, as you started by mentioning the Dripbox...

If you're looking to use pure mechanical mods, please learn about battery and general mech mod safety. Mechs can be awesome, but by definition they won't protect you from things like short circuits.

(As a long time vaper you may well know the above; I'm posting it because this is the new members forum.)

Mech tubes aren't always that pricey. As an example:

thanks everybody for your imput, but i got this figured out. i decided against the first idea and i dont need the unregulated mod afterall. This was for a sideproject anyway. My reg vape is the Kanger dripbox 160 and i LOVE it.. highly recomended!!! but thanks again. i took note of this stuff cause i may re-visit the idea soon

the 60 has reverse polarity, 10s, and shutoff that's it... it's a semi-mech.

i love my dripboxes both the 60w and the 160w... i didn't love their atties so i bought better ones, i still use both daily.

Do you really need more then a 10 second draw? Those safety features are in place incase your mod auto fires. This device your building isn't a flashlight is it lol.
