Experts, please chime in, but please keep in mind that this is for budget folks like me.

Go for 24mg nicotine. It may seem like a lot, but you can always dilute right in the clearomizer. In a pinch, even (a little) water works, but expect runny nose. Better idea is to buy zero nicotine of the same flavor. Another option is to buy zero nicotine of juice that mixes with almost anything. If you like menthol, get that. Plain cream e-liquid works for me really well (I get mine from MFS, all the same, I think). Plain VG from a drug store (or Amazon) is most cost effective, but will obviously will dilute the flavor, though sometimes it needs to be. You can always moisturize with leftovers ;)

Pile on.

I can't say I agree. I smoked 1.5 +/- packs a day and 24mg would have been too much for me. Everyone is different, but I suggest people start lower and if they don't feel they are getting enough nicotine they can vape more until they can buy something stronger. Diluting will dilute the flavor as well.

If you like to vape low mg 1, 2 or 3 they way I do buy 24mg unflavored. Mix 3-6 drops of unflavored into a 3ml of flavored liquids. I buy all 0mg liquids. Then add a few drops of the 24mg depending on how strong I want it. Plus I use the 24mg for current smokers to try out. 24mg unflavored is inexpensive and for my purposes doesn't dilute the flavor of good liquids because I use such a small amount per 3ml.

There's a trade-off.

Higher nic levels are (to me) much more satisfying.

But the nic spoils the taste of many juices (or at least disrupts it) so the flavor is better at lower nic.

Had I been smart I would have done something like flbutterfly, but instead of mixing them keep switching between 0mg tasty and 24mg unflavored.

What your not realizing is any and all nic has either an all vg or all pg base carrier and as you add your no flavor nic you will be adding there hence you will drop your flavor concentrate percentage as you add more nic and you have no idea what your nic level is even at.....

I never suggested adding nicotine. I add either zero-nicotine of *the same flavor* or *complimentary flavor*. Water or pure VG *in a pinch*, because in this case flavor is diluted, but still better than ODing.

Maybe I get this all wrong. If I take 0.5 ml of 24 mg liquid and add 0.5 ml of zero nicotine liquid, wouldn't I get 1 ml of 12 mg liquid? That's what I do, roughly, right in a clearomizer. I wouldn't recommend water at this ratio, of course. Just an example. I did try pushing water to get from 24 to 20, but that's a limit. Only in emergency!

I smoked for 30 years 2 1/2 PAD when I quit, Ultra Light/Silver pack and when I started vaping I used 18 mg. After a few weeks I had to lower my nicotine levels. I ended up buying VG at Walmart to dilute my e juice. Killer e-juice I've heard lots of folks talking about them here on the forums. There's a thread for them. They have great sales on the site from Thursday-Sunday.
Good luck!

The answer would be 18mg nic, Ive heard of people who drip and want to go from 6mg to 3mg as your suggestion but your not gaining more joose volume just simply altering the nic.
As a suggestion you could save up and buy 100mg nic - PG - VG - flavor concentrate separately and be making your own joose anywhere from 1.50 / 2.50 per 30 ml.
