Untighten stuck threading?

Whats the best way to loosen an over-tightened threaded section? I over tighten my devices pretty often and I always have a hard time getting them off. I got a pair of pliers with a plastic tip but it doesn't open wide enough or provide a good enough grip.

A small 'Rubber Strap Wrench' would likely work.

^ That plus a couple hours in the freezer should do the trick.

A pair of rubber gloves also work in a pinch.
