It's getting on to well into my second month and I've got a few concerns. Hopefully, some of you helpful folk can give advice!

Recently a cold (or allergies) have been attacking my throat. It's so sore right now and vaping just makes it worse. Bumped up to a higher MG so that I can have shorter sessions... but does anyone stop vaping while sick? I never was one to stop analogs when like this but then, it didn't aggravate my throat like this either.

Also, pre-cold, the phlem is still there, just a little bit. I thought it would be gone by now but it's not... Is this a sign of dehydration? Everything else seemed alright until getting sick.

Well Ms. Maiahmae wish I could be more help, but I haven't gotten sick any time in the past few years... Could very well be your throat is already irritated and vaping is making it more so by further drying it out.... Is this the excess phlem that was there from when you still smoked? That can take a bit to break up... :)

I've been afraid of this happening to me. I hated smoking with a sore throat, but had to do it to stay sane. THere is an experiment I want to try but seeing as it has to do with another vendor I don't want to go into too many details. I found a eucalyptus (sp?) drop flavor that is supposed to be like the real things and numb your throat. I want to get it for when I get sick/sore throat and can't vape anything else. I keep forgetting to order though and I haven't been sick yet, so maybe one day it will all come together! Not saying that I hope I get sick of course! PM me if you want the info.

It might be. 15 years worth of gunk might take a while to get out but I thought it would be out by now o_O Ah well... Hopefully whatever is going on with my throat will stop soon, till then I thank krashnash for her trade. That's where the higher mg came from.

I'd love to keep updated on the results. Not sure I want to risk trying it. Yucky-lyptus, as I offensively call it, is a migraine trigger but I wonder how strong it would be if mixed with something. Hm, pm sent.

Sorry you're feeling bad. What kind of juice are you using?
I wonder if more VG in your juice might be easier on your throat while you're sick -- i know that PG juices give more throat hit, but sounds like you need less throat hit. Maybe try getting a little bottle of vg at michael's or hobby lobby, and mix a little in with your current juice. it'll dilute the flavor some but should be easier on your throat.

Today was RazzWOW 11mg. There's only about a ml left of a 5ml bottle. Perhaps a run to a specialty store (or craft store - I do need some yarn~) to grab a bottle of menthol flavoring to spike a drop with. It's worth a try at least. I only have PG in stock (far as thinning and watering down stuff) but if they have VG at the craft store, I'll snag some of that too. Thanks guys. You all are the best for advice!

chimchim PG is a sugar alcohol, like any alcohol it will dry out your throat. That's why if you vape then brush your teeth and gargle with mouthwash, you will really dry out throat and experiece a dry cough when you go to lay down.

maiahmae, your cold is causing all these symptoms and if it were me, I would vape as little as possible. Of course I am not a Doctor although I did play one a month ago with my wife. I've also been a Fireman, a Policeman, and just recently a Navy Seal.

You are quite welcome - glad you found it useful! I would agree that menthol may help and would be curious to know if that works for you...

+1 on menthol...and increase the water while sick.......cannot stress that enough.......drink lots of water.....especially when sick.....I could say it again, but I think ya got the point...lol.

I also noticed you increased the nic strength....that will also aid in the throat irritation....you may wanna try decreasing it or just vape plain vg ....believe it or not, it is not that bad. There is a slightly clean sweet taste to it....even plain pg has a nice clean taste, but wouldn't help in the sore throat.

You can find plain vg in 2 places.....either in the candy making supplies of a craft store or wal-mart, or in the pharmacy area of drug stores and wal-mart.....just make sure it says on the bottle USP.

+1 on menthol or V4L's Wow Peppermint works too. +1 on PG is a humectant so the Wow juice will be slightly less irritating than the Premium line (VG is a humectant too, but less so than PG, less TH).

Also, PG and VG are anti-microbial. I think I heard that's why they put it in hospital air. I doubt it will really help kill the germs already in you, but germs just won't grow in the stuff so maybe! Unless...unless they're extremophiles! Maybe you have extremophiles in your throat! That sucks! You have extremophiles!
