Hello again ^_^

Well I received my kit around 2 weeks ago but the juice was too strong, so I didn't really start until about a week ago when I got my new juice in the mail.

Out of the two kits I received (the 510 Riva and 510 eGo) only the Riva seems to be working correctly. I just don't get much vapor off the eGo even though the parts look exactly the same.

Anyways. Between my boyfriend and I we used to smoke a pack of day each, and for a few days cut back to maybe 5 analogs each per day, but now we are creeping back up to almost half a pack each day again.

I just can't seem to let go of my morning smoke.. and after a few hours on the Riva I start to get really moody and hit a peak where I just NEED an analog.

The strength seems right, since the 24 strength was way too much.. Guess I just need to keep at it.

How often do you change the mouthpiece part where you put the liquid in? I noticed after a day or two it starts to taste really bad. Almost out of them.

Any other tips would be great! I start school again in a week and would like to be completely off analogs by then.

Hey there :)

Being new to ecigs myself and wanting to get off of the analogs. I went with the higher strength 24mg first thing in the morning, just 4-5 puffs to get that edge off. I will admit it's pretty tough, even with an ecig, but if you stick to it it does get easier each day. I was almost a pack a day smoker. After i got my sense of smell back, the stink of an analog was enough motivation for me to stay with my ecig. When that wasn't enough for me, I considered the cost of smoking analogs. Here a pack runs around $14.

How long did it take for your smell to come back? I did notice after the first few days that they started to taste bad.. But we were bad the last 2 days and split a pack each day, almost ignoring our ecigs.

It's like.. when we can go around 6 or so hours without, we both get moody and smoke a analog, then want another analog.. ect. Even if I go all day without, 1 analog will make me smoke 4-5 more until I go to sleep. Ugh.

Need some more self control lol. But its very tough. Disappointed in myself. Already had 2 this morning >.<

I'm not sure I understand what kits you have. Did you get them at the same place?

BTW, I have the Riva and Joye ego. I can tell zero difference in them at all as far as vaping. The joye batteries lasted a little longer than the Riva. The Riva batteries died a little sooner. As far as vaping and the 3.7- 3.2 thing- not noticed any difference at all. The riva has a nicer sort button, that's about it. I'm wondering what kind of ego that he has and where he got it that it's so terrible.

Are you sure the juice is too strong and not just very harsh juice? If your still smoking, it doesn't seem like it's too strong. Get juice with more VG in it. Smooth it out a bit.

A lot of the Rivas are also 3.2 volts so there may not be any difference to notice.
That's why I was saying it depends on which Riva she has.

My eGo came with:
2 x manual eGo 650mAh batteries
2 x Joye 510 atomizer
2 x Atomizer Cone
5 x tobacco cartridges
1 x high speed USB charger
1 x usb mains charger
1 x user manual
1 x presentation box

My Riva came with:
2 x 750mAh Battery
2 x 510 Atomizer - 2.2 ohm resistance
1 x USB Fast Charger
1 x USB Mains Plug (US)
10 x Blank Carts - e-liquid will be required to fill the cartridges, sold separately
1 x Atomizer Cone

Its not terrible, it just seems like I get a lot more vapor from both the Rivas then either of the eGos that came in the kit.

:)

Mine is the 3.7 volt riva.

Thinking about it when I first hit the button (I don't know the name for it) you can actually hear the Riva more. Maybe it hits hotter faster? I'm not a expert on batteries, so I guess that's where the extra voltage comes into play? As far as vaping, I really don't notices a HUGE difference- if there is any, it's pretty minimal. Certainly not what the OP is describing. I've gotten lots of ego batteries from different vendors and they all seem pretty much the same to me. The bigger just last longer. One isn't great and the other terrible.

I've been refilling them myself, they came empty with the cotton inside.

I'd get cartomizers- 2.0 boge or dual coil and some juice from a juice vendor, maybe 70pg/30vg or more VG if juice seems harsh to you.

If it's juice that came with the kit, it's usually all PG and some people find that very harsh regardless of the pg/vg ratio.

Maybe... 4-5 days I think. I went through the moody streak to. That's ussually when I popped into these forums and read that its normal. Getting away from an analog, even if you have an ecig, is difficult. From what i read, it's mostly your body craving the other, substantially harmful things they put into analogs.. Formaldehyde being one.. That stinky nasty liquid that those things in biology class are preserved in..At first when I craved an analog, I imagined that. It did it for me, then I ran and got something to drink and puffed on my ecig lol

The riva also feels much smoother.. Like the vape just pours into my mouth, not sure how to describe it.. But if I hit the riva as hard as it takes to hit the eGo I would be coughing for a while.

Strange. They seem the same to me. I happen to like the joye better because of the weird color I ordered for the Riva. Both are pretty great.

I ordered my 24 and then 12 mg juice from BWB. I think its a mix of PG/VG.

Maybe you just aren't ready to quit. Maybe put the kit away for awhile.

You have a good pv, good juice.

My sister did that. Thought she 'should' vape but probably didn't really want to. Got disgusted with smoking, and revisited the pv.

If you want to stick with it, don't keep cigs around. Or if you do get an off-brand. That's what I did. So even if I did smoke it wasn't particularly enjoyable.

It could also be the juice you are using that causes you to not notice much difference?

Most people that moved from a 3.2 volt 510 to a 3.7 volt mod notice a very big difference.

But I haven't seen many people talk about any differences between 3.2 volt Egos and 3.7 volt Rivas.
I just assumed it was because very few people had both.

I know that once I took a drag off a true 3.7 volt mod I put my 3.2 volt 510 in a drawer.
There is no way I could ever go back to that again, the difference is so noticeable.
