I'm currently using a LR atty on stock 510s. I'm lucky if I get an hour out of each. I also use it with my Hello 016 (1300 mAh). It too draws down rapidly, less than eight hours steady vaping as opposed to 2 or so days with the conamizers.

I really don't want to kill my 016 battery. The problem is since I've tried the LR atty, everything else is like vaping air. I just ordered a 5v pass through. I'm hoping it gives me my flavor and vape while near a computer or in the car. Even the LR atty doesn't give me TH with most of my 0 nic juices.

If that works, I only have to decide if I want to continue to use the LR on my stock 016 or the conamizers while out and about. Also if I find that 5v is my sweet spot, I'll likely pick up a 5v juice feeder mod.

If that works,

It's not likely to meet expectations. The problem is that at 5v the (regular) 510 is going to want to draw about 1.8 Amps. A PC USB port only delivers 0.5 Amps and very few cigarette lighter plugs will deliver more that 1 Amp or less. I you got the USB power supply that you plug into the wall socket and is rated for 2 Amps then you're really going to like it. So, it depends on which 5v pass through you're getting.

I've been using LR attys with 510 (reg and mega), Kr808 (reg and mega), 901, and even disposable 510 batteries for a few weeks now, and no issues so far. The batteries last just a little less longer per charge, but not as much as you might think, since more vapor per drag usually means less drags overall.

Two days ago, I had a LR atty on a 510 mega battery in my pocket. I got in the car and about 30 seconds later reached in my pocket for my ecig, when I noticed that it was VERY hot - sitting down had caused the button to push on. I let it cool for a couple of minutes and was back to vaping away with no issues and the battery lasted for a few hours.

DISCLAIMER: My results may not be typical. Try at your own risk. No warranty is either expressed nor implied. Batteries not included. Point away from face. May cause .... discharge. Do not taunt happy fun ball.

Thanks for the tip. So it's a no go in vehicles but I'm good to go by using one of my usb wall adapters. Wonder if the same applies if I plug the adapter into the dc outlets in the cars?

The plug (both the one for the wall and the one that goes into the dc car outlet should have the rating printed on it. voltage and amperage

Well I Have for the last few weeks been using LR atties with my 510's when I need the feel of cig in my hand, I have it loaded my 555 juice and it rocks and knocks the crazy urge to have a real cig completely away. Yeah I know what is said that it will kill my 510's oh well...... But for my everyday vaping rig im using an ego. I tried this set up not because i wanted something different but because my normal atties have kinda dissappeared( grew legs and walked awayed another story there)

I just can't seem to get comfortable with anything larger that analog diameter. That's why I'm putting my bats through so much torment with the LR atty.
I find the eGo extremely functional but uncomfortable. Un-natural. I like to walk around with my skinny whistle tipped PV comfortable dangling and lightly clenched in my teeth.

I think my major problem is I prefer to vape 0 nic juice so no TH. Actually I do have a sample that's 36mg and that doesn't give me TH either. OTOH I was a two and a half packs a day of Kools. I'm probably never going to simulate that.

I just got in 4 LR 901 attys and they give me flavor back but no TH. The LRs made my normal attys. seem like I'm vaping air. So now I'm spoiled.

I'm the opposite. One of the things I love about the Hello 016 is the flat bottom. In theory the more I can stand it up and out of my hands, the less juice I'll vape. Not working yet! With the 510 and 901 I'm always looking for a way to keep them proped up so my juice doesn't flow back out.

I do walk around with the 016 dangling although usually clenched with my lips. Not with the stainless drip tip though. I don't like it's feel so I primarily use my delrin (sp). Plus I can visually see the drops going in with the clears or frosteds.

Been using the LR atties on stock batteries (801, 901, 510, kr808d-1)-- since I fudged up my 016 battery by tossing it in the clothes dryer. I do find myself swapping/charging stock batteries frequently, though haven't noticed any other negatives about the set-up.

Gotta say I like the job the LR atties do on the LV battery devices! Can't wait till my hi-cap batteries get here

Ouch! Now you're going to make me have nightmares that I tossed my 016 in the washing machine or dryer. :(

Update: This experiment is so far still going extremely well.

I used my LR atomizers on my stock 510s all day on Father's Day.
I am not noticing anything bad yet.

In fact, so far, the battery life is much longer than I would have expected.
But it is going to be quite some time before I have any thoughts on overall battery life.

You mileage may vary, and all that...

I'm using them on my mega batts and the battery life isn't a problem at home of course and I really haven't noticed any difference in time to recharge - just figure it must be some factor. When I go out, it's with the Wetbox, Tornado, and/or Bartleby. And after the LR 510 cartoz were losing flavor in the 14500 based Wetbox, I started using them on the megas and Tornado as well and the flavor returned. So 510 LRs are working for me on the TorneGo and megas, but not on the true 3.7volt mods. ....and ymmv and all that....

I'd just be a little worried that the batteries might asplode (much worse than explode) in my face. Seeing as the amp draw for these things is already a bit above what they were meant to handle (hence the reason batteries don't last all that long compared to their specs) Kicking the draw up to nearly twice that seems like risky business to me.

Dunno...maybe the plastic endcap would blast off and vent that way...but if it holds then the little buggers are basically a tiny pipebomb.

Okay, now you got me worried.

I thought I remember reading a long time ago that these little 180mah batteries don't really explode so much as just sort of fizzle and pop when things go wrong. I may have to go back and try to find some of that information again now though.
