Update on Cincinnati Altsmoke brick-and-mortar store?

Rob, any update on a Greater Cincinnati Altsmoke store?

I've told numerous people about this and all are anxiously awaiting this. Hope things are working out smoothly for this to happen sooner than later.

I'm not stalking this site...well, that's not true at all, I AM stalking this site for update information of this store.

On 1-30-2013, Rob had this to say in the mod update thread here, "Had some personal issues that required me out of town for the past week. Just got back in to town to the news that the lease was being signed on Friday with a move forward on Saturday so been on the phone the past few days dealing with contractors and everything else to prepare."

He wasn't specific, but I'm assuming he was talking about the Cincinnati store. At least news that a lease has likely been signed and hopefully remodelling of the facility is being undergone by this time. It seemed that when the Columbus store opened, it took about a month longer to actually open from the initial anticipated opening date. Having already gone through that experience, Altsmoke should have their "ducks in the pond" so to speak, but I'm sure there are always events that come up that can cause delays. It's been three weeks since the above info was shared, so hopefully the wait will soon be over.

It's coming 'soon'. I'm not jumping the gun anymore as something always happens. EastGate location - Sent over papers the other day, waiting to hear back. This entire process has been nothing but a nightmare, but we should have plenty of room when all is said and done. 2300 sqft of pure vaping bliss.

The other lease that we did sign was actually in New Philadelphia, OH. That was for the NEW Warehouse location, which is awesomely big, slight hiccup...internet has never been hooked up. So have to deal with the cable company running a line in, and yes they have to 'dig' to get it there. So that was a pretty bill, just waiting for construction. That lease took 5 days to get signed. Quick and painless, cincinnati...not so much. Believe me, there will be a shinny post on here when something is signed and the address has been confirmed. It shouldn't be too much longer now =D

Here's a quick update: Lease has been notarized on our end, hasn't on theirs. Waiting for them to remove the shelves, but we're going in again later this week to take a look around and propose a new layout as far as what we want to do to the retail space. So it's looking very positive that the eastgate is happening Just waiting for a day to meet with the landlord and exchange a check for keys

I might be available to assist also. I'm likely to be off work for the next couple of weeks due to a short-term disability issue with my employer. You can PM me also. I'm about a half hour drive from the Eastgate area.

Several vapors in the Greater Cincinnati have just begun discussing places to gather socially. Your proposed vaping lounge would be a perfect setting for all of us to meet up together and vape in a public setting without the need for discretion. This is exciting news.

While I can't do any heavy lifting or manual labor (disabled heart patient with CHF) I can operate a broom or a mop and perhaps lend a hand with cleaning up some of the construction mess... I'm about 20 minutes away from Eastgate and have a wide open schedule. Shoot me a PM too.

Well the space itself is about 2300sqft, so hopefully it would be big enough to accommodate. I get to go down tomorrow to get the keys for the place so that's exciting. Shouldn't be too much longer now

You guys are great, definitely appreciate the offers. We'll see how things go, typically should be fairly cut and dry. But we're looking at other designs and may bring professionals in this time around to do all the fun stuff. We want this store to be our best looking one yet I will be creating a Cincinnati Store thread tomorrow which will have updates, dates for interviews for employees, events, etc We're excited about adding our 3rd location in Ohio and hope that it's a bit closer for those that have come down to the Columbus Location. *Cough*Baditude*cough* Hopefully there won't be parades near by this store

Yup, I remember that visit well. I drove 1 1/2 hours for a simple battery and you didn't have one.

In all honesty, I got a lot out of that visit. I had never seen anyone else use any kind of e-cig device before, so seeing several people in the store all vaping was an enlightening experience. In addition, I have you to thank Rob for giving me my first experience with higher voltage when you Kicked my Silver Bullet. That experience prodded me to investigate variable voltage when I hadn't had an interest in it before.

The Gay Pride Parade was also memorable because of the attractive lady who was nude from the waist up but had painted a top on herself.

Looking forward to the new thread on the Cincinnati store.
