I'm reminded of the scene in the movie "My Cousin Vinny":

"You are in ala effing Bama. You killed two good old boys. There is no way this case is not going to trial."

To paraphrase to fit the NY council:

"You are in the progressive liberal Democratic People's Republic of New York. Emperor Bloomberg is in charge. You look like you are smoking. There is no way this is not going to get banned."

It makes them feel good that they are doing something. But it is completely unenforceable and meaningless.

You can still vapor anywhere people can't see you. And you can still vape in any public place as long as you don't exhale the vapor.

The legislation CAN be repealed.

Just quit electing and re-electing know-nothing control freaks.

Or you can realize that you have more control over your own life then politicians and their crony capitalist lobbyists do.

Just ignore them. Don't give them any more power over you then they think they have. THIS IS JUST STUPID BIG PHARMA AND ANTI-SMOKING GROUP TRICKS. THEY ARE RELIANT ON MSA FUNDING AND PFIZER CONTRIBUTIONS TO PAY FOR THE LEASE ON THEIR AUDI A6 AND BMW M3.

vaping bans are the least of our worries. The waterboarding and torture can start with the FDA regulations. Big government power has tortured and killed and silenced many an opposition.

But like Nelson Mandela, Edmund Dantes It all depends on who is in charge. And who is winning. If the Bonapartist's are winning I am a hero. If the monarchy is winning I end up in the Château D'if.

We didn't mean to get dragged into a battle. Some men are born to greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.

Reading all of the comments on every e-cig article makes me proud to be a part of the human race. You guys have more power than you know.

I don't know if you grasped what the vote actually did for us, we can still vape outdoors just not in parks, school areas or where smoking is prohibited. No reason not to vape outdoors. I still think it's bull...., but it's not a complete ban.

That's pretty hard to do when every single candidate on the ballot is the very definition of a know nothing control freak. You can push Bloomberg out (I'm actually glade to see him go) but that's not to say I'm not cringing my teeth right now look at his replacement's resume.

That is because me and you think like the law-abiding honest taxpaying citizens we are. We have the utmost respect for Our fellow citizens/realtors/part-time assemblycritters and state legislators. They know what is best for us.

When the New Jersey State Legislature passed this ban at the behest of the big Pharma companies in New Jersey before Chris Christie took office I was really bummed. Now I have to go outside in the freezing cold and rain and waste 15 minutes hanging around with the smokers Every time I want to take a puff of vanilla flavored vapor. (I actually don't or do or maybe possibly wouldn't mind it. I kind of missed that ritual of going outside and getting some air and talking to people from my days when I used to smoke)

If I were a real scofflaw, badass, or desperado I could just sit in my office all day and vape. It's orderless so who would know? Not me, I went right out to Walmart and bought some Nicorette gum for $60. I use that when I'm in the office.
