Upgrade from V2-Advice please

I am not necessarily a newbie but this forum seems appropriate for my question. I have been using a V2 808 type e cig off and on for over a year now using analog cigarettes in between. I would like to upgrade due to I would just like better quality, performance, and battery life. Not to mention I want to quit smoking. From what I have read here it seems an Ego 510 using LR coils would be the best option. I would just like some advice on what to go with, the best site to get a starter kit upgrade, and any general advice you would like to provide. I would greatly appreciate any advice from experienced ecig users. I was considering upgrading directly to an APV, but thought I should pay my dues 1st before a significant mistake or purchase is made. Thank you

Hey there Giovonni! Here are some great starter kits that I recommend if you are looking to upgrade to an eGo style kit.

Kanger Evod Starter Kit

Kanger Mini Protank 2 Starter Kit -VV

I'd recommend starting with a variable voltage "twist" styled eGo battery (in the second kit) if the budget allows. If you are looking for a great eGo battery with variable voltage/variable wattage, plus and Ohms checker, I'd go for this kit:

ITaste VV v3.0 by Innokin If you get this battery, you will need to get some tanks too.

Now, if you are looking to pass up the eGo style all together and jump in to a bigger mod, check out the MVP 2.0!

Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape

Happy Shopping! (And vaping!)

Awwww ... it looks like RubyRoo stole my thunder! :( What I will add is that Vape Dojo has some of the best prices and definitely the best customer service I have seen from any vendor. If you have a problem, they will make it right! I shop there first and look elsewhere ONLY if they don't have what I am looking for.

Good luck on your search!

Didn't mean to steal your thunder, devauto! I actually saw these kits on some of your posts last week and they really are the best prices for great kits out there. I wish these kits were at these prices when I started vaping! Cheers!

Thank you greatly gentlemen. I purchased a ITaste VV v3.0 from Ebay for 60$. Vapedojo does seem to have fantastic prices however the starter kit I wanted based on your recommendations was currently out of stock. The kit I purchased was not express and comes w/5 iclear cleros as well. Based on my research this seems like a reasonable decision. Reviews on youtube on elsewhere are fantastic. Seems the itaste vv 3.0 seems to be one of the hottest on the market. Appreciate your feedbk greatly gentlemen (or ladies). Sincerely

Congratulations! I am glad you got a kit you are going to be happy with! Did the kit come with one or two batteries? 5 clearos should last you a while too. Did you also get some extra coils for them? If not, I would recommend picking some up, you will need them.

The only word of caution I have is that buying on ebay is usually a buyer beware market. The advantage to a place like Vapedojo, or any other vendor, is that you have a resource you can turn to in the event of a problem. I have had limited success with support from ebay purchases, it's pretty hit or miss after they have your money and your feedback.

Again, congrats!

Well I, sir, am no gentleman, but I like that you called me one anyway!!! If you check out my profile picture, you'll understand what I mean. ;) I think the full kit is a great option and it is nice that it comes with 5 iClears. They really are great little tanks (I have too many to count at this point) and the heads actually last quite awhile on them. Your 800mAh VV v3 should last you about 6-8 hours (vape time), but be prepared to plug it in and use it in passthrough mode at some point during your day. I love, love, love my VV and I got it from a friend of mine from high school who opened a vape shop! Isn't that radical?

Just be careful ordering from eBay. Some things end up being knockoffs that you thought were real. Something to be aware of. I really hope you do enjoy your kit and if you ever have any questions about your battery or tanks, feel free to PM me anytime. I'm online a lot, so chances are, you'll get a relatively quick reply! Cheers!

Thank you for the reply posts and all the info. In reference to the extra coils. I am not familiar with this accessory. As I mentioned, have ben using a 2 piece v2 cig off and on which consisted of the battery and a blank cartomizer I would fiil w/ejuice. Please elaborate on this topic with a reply or PM. Contact me anytime. In addittion, if you or anybody has references for where to get some good PG vape juice in tobacco flavors, please notify. Thank you. CONTINUE VAPING!!

Getting some replacement heads (coils) for your iClears will be essential, because they do wear out after some use and even after cleaning them a few times. They unscrew from the base of the tank and are very simple to clean and replace when you need to. They usually come in packs of 5 and you can find them all over the internet. Suppliers I recommend online are MyVaporStore, VapeDojo, and DiscountVapers.

I don't vape 100% Pg juice, but I know you can get whatever ratio PG/VG you'd like from MountBakerVapor and they have a MILLION different flavors to choose from. You do need to let their juices steep (sit in a dry dark place, for the first day with the cap off, for about 1-2 weeks) as they make all of their juices to order. If you are interested in a 50/50 blend, J Vapes is AMAZING and they have a lot of different flavors to choose from. Their J Vapes Tobacco is really nice and mild. I'm a big fan of their fruit and candy flavors myself. Also try their coffee flavors if you are into that.

Good luck with your new kit! Be sure to read the users manual too! Happy Vaping to you!
