Upgrading from a Blu to 510

So I've had my Blu for a total of about 50 hours, and I'm already looking to upgrade. The Blu just doesn't consistently produce enough vapors for a heavy smoker like me. I've already had so many frustrations with my Blu, everything from battery life, to crappy carts, to battery problems, and the damn piece of foil stuck on the atty.

Now the big question is: What 510 should I get? I was looking at the Titan 510 kit at Totally Wicked for 60 bucks. Then I was going to get a high nic content juice, and mix it with VG so I can get some nice vapors, and be able to smoke more often without overdosing on nic.

I do have a few questions:

What exactly does "Titan 510" mean? Is it a 510 made from a different manufacturer then Joye?

Also, is there a 510 that produces more vapor, or is of better quality? Maybe one with better battery life? My priority is better vapor, but I don't want to be charging my batteries every 30 minutes like I am now.

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to make sure I don't buy a product that I'm not going to fully enjoy. I just don't want to have to go back to analogs to satisfy my cravings.

Ok the titan 510 I believe is licensed by joye, so pretty much the same. If battery life is what bothers you a lot, I would suggest an ego. (tornado) Big battery 510. It basically eliminates the need for a pcc.
You can get an ego from cignot for $69, 2 complete sets (I believe free shipping). Puresmoker has them for $49. I think their shipping is about $11. I would definitely compare and see what's best for you.

I feel like im reading a post I put up from when I moved on from the volcano(same as blu) and the 510. I had it for 2 days and was ready to move on.

so I can relate.

I dont order online, im one of the few lucky enough to have a e cig store near by. 510 is a standard atty /batt/ cart size. different sites sometimes call it or refer to it as different things but they are all basically the same.

the 510 is awesome, but the standard batts still only last a couple hours and your recharging alot., get a riva or ego kit (its a 510,or 901)) the batteries are just a little bit bigger but they last like all day. which is important.

also make sure to buy juice, so you dont waste money on prefilled carts.. you can refill them yourself.

and I would strongly recommend a usb pass through, essp if you buy a normal joye 510 ( or yeti, or titan or w/e) cause you can use it around the house and save your batteries for work/school/bar/whatever.

return that blu get your $$ back, just my 2 cents

I just got my eGo and I love it! I asked them same question cause I had the blu cigs and the standard joye 510 and just received the eGO and it makes a world of a difference. Get it from puresmoker.com for $49.99. You won't regret it. I see that they only have red in stock but I'd still get it cause its such a good deal on such a good PV.

I'm assuming the eGo is manual also?
I'm looking at puresmoker.com. What is an eGo atomizer cone?
Also, will I be able to buy stuff for a 510 and it will fit since it's just a 510 with a bigger battery?
the ego usually is a manual, I know autos do exist though. The ego cone is supposed to help with the draw and create warmer vapor. i like it because it looks good with it on and thats where one of my fingers goes. The ego is a big battery 510, so yes you can use 510 attys and cartos.

I highly suggest that you get a Joye eGo, which is essentially a 510 with a battery that lasts all day. Right now, PureSmoker.com is offering a dual Joye eGo kit for $49.99, the best price on here for a genuine Joye eGo kit.

I also had a Blu, and returned it for a refund. With the Blu, I was changing batteries every 40-50 minutes, and the cartridges were extremely inconsistent. The eGo is 1000% better!

Yes, the eGo is manual and IMO, thats the only way I'll go. Manual provides so much more vapor and TH compared to autos. The eGo atomizer is just a cone that goes around the atty and part of the cartridge. It makes the vapor warmer but I just think its just for show. Makes the whole thing look sleeker and better. Its not even a necessity. I don't even use my cones. About fitting 510's to your eGo, the eGo is a 510. So yes, it will fit all 510 atty's, carts and cartomizers. The eGo in short is a bigger and better battery than the stock. Provides more vapor and TH and lasts an entire day! I don't use atty's anymore (or at least for now) because I think the cartomizers are so much better. Better vapor, better throat hit and is much easier to refill. I would get a pack of the empty refillable soft caps cartomizers with your eGo and just drip your favorite juice into the filler, pop the cap back on, and you're good to go for several hours.

Ok another confused newbie here, if the Ego is a 510 with bigger batt, can I just order the batt to use on my 510? What is different that I might need or do I need to order an Ego kit really?

For one thing, the eGo needs a different charger. Also, there's a cone that covers the atty, which keeps the heat in (or something like that).

You'll need the usb quick charger (special for the eGo/Tornado/Riva), a Cone and a battery or two.

... but the price on the whole kit at puresmokers right now is hard to beat - you get attys, 2 cones, 2 batts, etc. etc. Just two batts is around $40 so this is a great deal:

Yes, you can just order the battery alone but like the other posted, you are going to need to buy the charger and probably another battery just to back up in case. And the cones if you want those. All those together will be just as much or more than the kit you are getting at puresmoker.com

The pros/cons of direct dripping....

The pros:

Flavor,
Throat Hit,
Vapor

The Cons.
Flooded addys?
Seriously, I love dripping so I may be a bit biased. In fact, I don't use carts anymore and would much prefer to direct drip. I do have a wide range of cartos as well because its much easier to fill a couple of cartos for work (or for whenever dripping is troublesome). Cartos, unless you are willing to clean them tend to get a foul taste after a couple of refills but considering how cheap they are? Meh, no big deal in my opinion.

As to a kit? I actually paid as much for my two ego mega batteries and two mega cartos with a USB as it would have cost to buy the regular Tornado kit from TW.

I went with the 510, only because of the low price. I found it on madvapes for 33 bucks. My question is: what is the difference with atomizers and cartomizers? Also, what are the pros/cons of direct dripping?

Cartomizers are atomizer and cartridge in one. Atomizers you need to put a filled cartridge on or drip directly on it. There really is nothing wrong with dripping besides the fact that you have to keep dripping after every 5 puffs or so. It is the best way to get flavor. But I don't have time to keep dripping every 5 puffs so I prefer the cartomizer.

Also, dripping may be inconvenient when driving or when you are out and about. But a drip tip minimizes this inconvenience tremendously.

As for flooding the atty, once you've got the feel for dripping, you sort of know how much to drip and at what intervals.
