UPGRADING from Mini-E-Cig to Variable Volt.. Questions....

Hello, I'm still in the noob stages and have decided step into the world of variable volt batteries. Heard that the Ego Twist is a good starting place. A few questions before buying:

1) Is there a difference between the "Ego Twist" and the "Ego-C Twist"? I've seen them advertised as both. Any suggestions as to where I can buy in Canada at a good price? I don't mind if you drop direct links :)

2) Are the Ego Twist batteries 510 threading or 808D-1 like my Bloog?

3) Could everyone please suggest their favorite cartomizers/atomizers/tanks and any other cool add-ons that go with the Ego Twist.. I want to try a bunch of different stuff. Thought maybe there's a Canadian website that specializes in Twist accessories.. ?

4) Finally, any juice recommendations for the Twist? I'm a fan of tobacco flavours.. *with nicotine please* and I'm looking for juices that are VG/PG mix.

Thanks!! Can't wait to try VV!!!! Happy vaping:D

Mornin noobody. I have two Twists and love them. They're perfect for getting into the whole vv thing without spending a ton of money. I'm not sure there's a difference between ego and ego-c twist. And I can't help you with a Canadian vendor, but I'm sure someone will be along who can help you with that.

Twists are 510 threaded. I use 3.5ml tanks on mine, with single coil cartos. You can use dual coil cartos, I just prefer the single coils. Higher ohm cartos are better for the higher voltages, so 2.0ohm and above. There's tons of options for what to use on them, cartos, tanks, stardusts, vivi nova... it's all a matter of preference, so you'll just have to try different stuff to find what you like on them. Boge or Smoktek 2.0ohm and above is a good place to start.

If you like tobacco, I highly recommend Heather's Heavenly Vapes Gandalf. Actually, all of their tobacco flavors get good reviews. I assume they're able to ship to Canada.

There's a Canadian forum around here somewhere, you might be able to find some good info there too. I think you'll be very happy with the Twist.. I love mine, and haven't heard a bad thing about em!

Hey nobody, a great Canadian vendor is canvape, prices are awesome & the have everything you need to get started, including the twist batteries. I would suggest a Viva Nova tank or a Stardust to use on it, in SR. Dont forget to get a charger also.

There is a sticky thread at the top on the Canadian forum where you can request a list of vendors in Canada that carry nic juice, by PM only.

You'll love the twists once you get them, very nice to vape.

I'm in the same boat, after messing around with 510s, egos, standard atomziers, tank atomizers and all the standard Joyetech stuff on and off for almost a year, I'm in love with higher voltage after trying someone's Infinite Pro and Ego twists.

The ego twist is an great option, since it's only $30 or less instead of $100+, plus comes with or is a battery. :p As far as I know, the the Ego-C and Ego Twists are the same, I can't see why they would be different. The C refers to the changeable tank atomizer, so it should have nothing to do with the battery itself. The Ego twist is, as mentioned 510 and not 808 connection and you'll need a charger for ~$5. I'd personally suggest going for the 1000 mah twist, for the extra battery life, but be prepared for the size - it was a shocker to me at first, using batteries similar in size to bloog.

I'd agree with what was said, that most people think sticking with SR cartomizers on higher voltage makes the most sense. I would still suggest Boge cartomizers, but they've been having some problems lately, so maybe single coil smoketeks are a better choice - you need more juice than a twist for dual coils. The Vivi Nova and Stardust 2.0s are both nice options for $5-10 tanks and both have replaceable atomizer heads for $2-3. If you want want to get into nice glass tanks, I'm looking at phiniacs personally, but they run $40-50+, but are glass and do last forever.

No idea about juice, I'm STILL looking for a nice one myself, but if you dig around the Canadian forum, there should be some juice threads with some suggestions and get the list as mentioned.

Canvape.com is great as said, but vaporus.com has a good reputation and cheap prices too, plus since you're in Montreal, you might get things a day or two quicker since I believe they're around there themselves.

I'd also suggest looking on youtube if you have the time, VaporChase is my favourite reviewer for the Canadian perspective and I like PBusardo who is American, for general hardware info.

I have to agree with the favourable comments on both the Twist and the vendors mentioned.
I would also agree with jnnfrisw that a full sized tank is a bit top heavy.
A Stardust (standard resistance is fine) is a great fit and is a really good compliment.
I use 2 or 3 eGos with Stardusts on each for a full day out.
I have been sticking with the 650mAh versions because I like the size better. If I need more battery life, I take another unit.
More devices = more battery life + more choice in juice.

I would suggest SR ego C atomizer heads . Easier to adjust to find your sweet spot . As long as you are not shy about changing heads often as needed it is a very good vape . The 1000mah batteries are long so maybe a few 650mah batteries would be a good idea . LR atomizer heads are a waste you would end up missing the benefits of VV with them . They are good if you don't have a VV battery .

Standard resistance
LR is low resistance
In note term. SR is 3 ohm. LR is 2

Sent from my HTC_Flyer_P512_NA using Tapatalk 2

The LR ego-C heads I have are 1.6 ohms . SR can be anything above 2 ohms some say 3 ohms others say over 2 , 2 or lower is LR depending on who you ask . With dual coils a lot seem to have two 3 ohms coils in parallel making the resistance 1.5 ohms or so . I prefer single coils .

Hey there Noobody, I'm a noob to the vaping scene and started with a cheap e cig kit that wasn't doing it for me and after a lot research and helpful advice from the nice people here , i to stepped up to the TWIST and just love it .I chose the 650 over the 1000 because of its size when I'm out and about. I mainly drip using a sr 510 atty which i find gives the best vapor, throat hit and flavor:toast:cheers!
