Upgrading - I'm sure this has been asked before... Sorry

Hi!
I've been lurking for a while trying to find my answers elsewhere, but there is just mounds and mounds of information. I got onto vaping last August, and been doing great. Only smoke in the morning and before bed. I have the "Glass" 1.8ohm starter kit from Vaporshark.com (locallypurchased from their shop). From my research I think its the EGO 510? It's been great, but lately, I've found myself chiefing the crap out of my device, and dont think its enough. I'd also like to attempt to do a clean break from smoking. I looked at the Atlatis Aspire, but vapor shark customer support told me I'd need their $300.00 battery to use it. Maybe its not the right tank for me? I believe upgrading is the way to go. $100 would be my max, and I'd rather it not be for a single part.

I guess what I'm asking is... I need something that better provides vaport, throat/lung hit without upping nicotine. Can you guys help me out?

Hi CSWalker :)

I am not sure when you spoke to Vapor Shark but they have since had a sale on one of their older but still good models. Have a look at their DNA30. It is $99 right now. This is only because there is now a DNA 40.

At some point, you may find you need more. But if the mission is to quit smoking, this one will give you a good boost to your current rig and allow you to vape the Atlantis.

Many vapers used this device happily until the 40 came out. While it is not the latest greatest, it does what you need for 100 or less and is better quality than a lot of devices out there.

Moving this to New Members.

The Aspire Atlantis is used for sub-ohm vaping (for most people) and comes with a .5Ω coil. You can get higher ohm coils for it.
You wouldn't exactly have to buy their $300 mod to use the Aspire as other cheaper alternatives are out there. Any mechanical mod would work.

You're going to get a lot of suggestions here. If there's something you don't understand about the suggestions, ask questions. Folks here love to help.

I'm gonna tell you this sub ohms is a tottally diffrent breed due to way better taste, clouds and my favorite lower nic. At sub ohm my nic is at 3-6 and I use to vape 18-24mg. But if you want throat hit and lower nic then sub ohms is the way to go. As for running the Aspire if your not fancy just get the Aspire CF sub ohm battery. And I always tell this to people get something you can grow with like the vapor shark dna-30 that's a beautiful mod with a lot of potienial. GL I hope you find what u need.

You can buy a mechanical mod and a battery/ charger for less than 20$ on ebay. That will work just fine with your tank.

Please don't do this

Without the relevant safety and knowledge about what your doing

Look at istick 30w or the new MVP v3 or even the MVP 20w or the DNA 30/40 all of which will be a nice upgrade for you and will run your current tank or maybe add a nautilus mini tank to one of those

Mechs and rda/rta's are a way to go to get into sub ohming but can also be dangerous if you have no idea what you doing

Please make sure you want what the Atlantis provides before you drop the money. It's a sub-ohm lung hitter and whether or not it provides better flavor can be debated. I'm an ex-smoker and no matter how hard I try, I cannot get decent flavor or throat hit from the Atlantis or any device with a wide open draw designed for lung hitting. I find that the Nautilus or Kanger Genitank are awesome devices that provide outstanding flavor for mouth-to-lung vapers. If you've never tried a sub-ohm build or lung hitting, you probably should before you order the Atlantis.
