Hey everybody, I've been lurking for a few months and doing a lot of research, and I'm finally ready to take a leap of faith to the big boy mods. Several of my friends got off smoking through their cheap mods all the way to a guy who builds on a Snow Wolf 200w.

I've been vaping really low, like 20w to be entirely honest. I know there will be some people screaming "Don't go from 20w to 200w! It needs to be gradual!" And I do understand the concerns and risks, but I'd rather make a single significant investment that will cost less in the long run than several upgrades just to make myself feel safe.

Now that that's out of the way, I'm looking into starting Kanthol builds, not sure of the size or thickness yet, that will be at a later planning stage. Probably will invest in a decent rda to put on the mod, I like the flavor far better on an rda than on a RTA or strictly clearomizer setup.

That being said, my primary query is What is your personal opinion on excellent quality 200w mods?

I understand that's very broad, so let me lay down some criteria.

-200w is tentative. But I really don't want to go below 150w. It's not a necessity right now, but I'm planning on keeping this mod for the forseeable future, a future containing more complicated and high-drain builds. Just keep that in mind!

- Temperature control quality is not my main concern. I'm not planning on doing hardcore nickel and titanium builds right now, so the excellence of the temperature control is not really an issue.

- Battery life is very important. I'm planning on vaping at 75-100w regularly, so I need something with batteries that will last at least a day.

To summarize, I don't need a fancy DNA 200 Prototype that costs $500, with all the bells and whistles money can buy, I just need something that can handle some tinkering with power and such.

I've looked at the Snow Wolf, it's quite large and heavy, but does what it's supposed to. Maybe something a little smaller and sleeker. I really liked the LavaBox DNA 200, but it's battery life left something to be desired.

I know this is very broad, but I really just need a list by someone who's got more experience, telling me the main features of their favorite high-wattage devices.

Price isn't necessarily an issue, but please, keep the price range grounded in reality!

If you need any other info, let me know!

Thanks folks!

ipv3 Li would fit your list for sure. it's running at around $85 or cheaper at most online shops and is a 200w dual 18660 regulated mod with TC capabilities (I know you said it wasn't of major concern, buts it's there as a bonus :) ). I've had one for 6+ months and I can vouch for its reliability [emoji106]
Either that or try looking up sigelei TC, another pretty popular high wattage device on the market right now.
just make sure you're pretty good at builds if yore using a rebuild able device assuming you're not a beginner vaper and be aware of battery safety, etc.
I'm running a tfv4, a tank by smok, on my IPV 3Li that hits the flavor pretty spot on, but has the cloud chasing draw if I decide to kick it up a notch. goes for around $35 and has an RBA deck option.
Edit: the IPV3 Li is also a lot lighter than he snow wolf. it's a bit wider, but it's still grippable and I really like the mirrored edge finish [emoji16]

+1 Reuleaux DNA 200 or RX200 had my DNA 200 for a week now love the thing

Heracles Tank 0.2 ohms awesome at 65 watts and can go almost 2 nights on the batteries
Velocity RDA at 0.3 ohms and 90 watts can go about 1 night and a half on the batteries
Billow V2 RTA at 0.4-0.5 and 45 watts probably 2 nights for sure have not really messed with my RTAs on it yet.

My 3li is great. However, battery life is less than spectacular for my needs even at 75 watts and I am picking up a Wismec RX200 for this reason. Also can be had substantially cheaper than the 3li.

I think "battery life" is all individual preference, but mine's running fine running on married VTC4's and Samsung 25R's. What batteries are you using if you don't mind sharing?

I have 2 married pairs of 25r's, 2 married pairs of VTC4's and 1 married pair of Imren green 2600 mah. The Imren pair seem to be the winners out of the bunch but the VTC4's are the oldest. I usually go through 2 to 3 pairs per day and run them down to 3.7 before recharging. I use a TFV4 with factory quad coils between 75 and 100 watts depending on juice.

Just be careful if you get the IPV3 Li the first week I had mine my TFV4 tank flooded and juice got on the touch button. The button broke and wouldn't stop firing, needless to say I got rid of it and bought the SMOK X Cube II. It's not 200w but if you upgrade the firmware after you buy it it goes up to 180w. Otherwise I would go with the Snow Wolf because all these boxes are a little heavier, but it's not too heavy. I carry mine in my pocket all day and it doesn't bother me. And both options have TC for when you work your way into that if you want to at some point (although I can't figure out the temp coefficient on the X Cube II it only lets me fire TC coils half a second before the temp protection kicks in).

No worries. I think I'm gonna spend the extra bucks and get the Reuleaux DNA 200. Go big or go home haha!

It has the bells and whistles and for a lot less than other top mods. Triple battery for longer battery life is a real pro. It might be heavy, but I'm probably gonna use it for home use almost exclusively, since I'm putting a dripper on it. My Ijust 2 kit is my car-and-work mod.

Thanks for your input folks!

i just got the wismec DNA 200 and its got great battery life ,and well customizable with the e-scribe software .you can fine tune your vape while plugged into your pc with live monitoring etc , you can pretty much tune it for you own personal vape experience ,if you want to mess around with custom screen themes and logos etc you can do that also , Its the DNA experince you are paying the extra bucks for if you like to tweak and tune stuff then thats why you buy one .

hope you enjoy it as much as i do mine.

What's better about the DNA chip? Why the hell would I pay 100 bucks more for it?

@voodoo6

Accuracy, ability to boost a vape to your liking, custom curves for temp control devices, warranty (1 year), screen is alot brighter easier to read.

Honestly if you get one first thing I would do is watch a video on how to properly setup everything.
It's a great board and beats the RX200 on every level but it does need some tweaking. Get familiar with you and you'll love it.

As everyone here mentioned here already....accuracy is the biggest advantage to dna200. I on both the rx200 and dna200....same atty same build have to be fired at +20 to 40 degrees on the rx200 to get the same vape. I also enjoy the Dna screen a lot better and clearer.
