okay i just ordered 12 15ml bottles of ejuice from kickbassvapors. the nic strength is 6 (12 was too much for me) i would like to up the strength in each bottle to about 8. i know the diff between 6 and 8 is fairly minor, but it does make an important differencr to me.

i know nothing about diy, but can i get a bottle of a particular strength of nic solution, and add a certain # of drops to each 15cc bottle to bring it from 6 to 8mg?
if so any particular kind of nic solution i should get, any suggestions as to where to get it as regards reliability and consistency of strength.

thanks so much

You can buy nic to add to the juice but how much you need will depend on the strength. It will also dilute the flavor of the juice. For a simple solution to maintain flavor you could buy 2 bottles of the same juice at 6 and 12 and mix them.

Wait, I was thinking 50/50 mix buy that would make 9 mg. Still pretty close to 8 mg or you could use a little more of the 6 mg. Too early for math! Ugh! ;)

thank you
buying two bottles is a good plan
i dont always want that much juice however for a variety of reasons
i still would like to learn how to up the nic strength. to go from 6 to 8 if i use a fairly concentrated nic strength will probably not dilute it too much. im willing to give it a try in any case

the calculator looks great but i cant figure out how to use it for my situation of strengthening an already nicotined juice.

if we have any math professors in the diy forum i sure would appreciate a calculation of my problem. thank you

My calculation supports your conclusion...based on 20 drops per milliliter. I purchase my niquid from MyFreedomSmokes.com. Chris is having a 30% off sale at present...coupon code "30Nic" at checkout.

Our Unflavored Smoke Juice (Nic. Juice, Nicotine Juice) - My Freedom Smokes

60 ml of 100mg/ml for $14.95 - 30% at checkout + shipping.

There ya go!

okay
im coming up with approx 6 drops of a 100mg solution,
that shouldnt dilute the flavor in 15 ccs too much;
not 100% sure my calc is correct though.

where is a good place to buy this stuff (hopefully available in small quantities)
thanks

Drops is not a good way to measure high strength nic. One drop of VG nic will have more nicotine than one drop of PG nic. Best bet is a 1ml syringe. Just a bit of a warning though, 100mg nic is serious stuff. Please make sure you know exactly what you are doing. A lower nic concentration might be a better way to start out.

The easiest solution (as others posted) is to buy the same liquid in another strength because then you will not lose flavor. I guess I don't understand why you say this "buying two bottles is a good plan
i dont always want that much juice however for a variety of reasons" when your 1st post indicates you purchased 12 bottles???.

However, here's the math you requested:
Lets use a starting amount of 10 ml of 6 mg. strength (because the math is easier w/10:))
these are the strengths & quantities needed to get to 8 mg.

10 ml of 6 mg +10 ml of 10 mg. = 20 ml at 8mg
10 ml of 6 mg +5 ml of 20 mg. = 15 ml at 8 mg.
10 ml of 6 mg +2 ml of 50 mg. = 12 ml at 8 mg.
10 ml of 6 mg +1 ml of 100 mg. = 11 ml at 8 mg. [not recommended AT ALL since you've never dealt w/diy before!!!!]

AZ Plumber replied while I was typing this. Unfortunately, his method will get you a little below the 8 level mark as it doesn't account for the added volume, i.e. adding 1 ml of 30 mg to 15 ml of 6 mg = 16 ml at 7.5 mg. 2 ml of 15 mg + 15 ml of 6 mg = 17 ml at just a little over 7 mg/ml.

ETA: Guess I'm way slower than others. Hope you've got it worked out now.

NEVERMIND!!

from the warnings on top of this page: "a drop of e-liquid that might make a long-term smoker feel sick will likely kill a child."
i have children

Which is exactly why many of us were leaning toward mixing juices rather than going the nic route :(
Personally I don't see having nic around as 'casual', especially if you just want to raise/lower your juice..
