URGENT: oily atomizer?

I finally got my order, but my atomizer is oily... can I rince it off with water? Thanks.

That's just the primer fluid. Blow out the atty from the battery side into a paper towel and just wipe it off the rest of the atty.

They do often have an oily texture, as spaky277 said it's very probably primer, you can usually blow it out from the battery end.

You can soak an atomiser (cartomiser wouldn't be a good idea ) in boiling water if you like so long as you let it dry out for a good while open side down.

There's no reason you can't rinse it off, but then you have to let it dry for a while. Wiping it down with a paper towel works just fine though.

I wouldn't rinse it - I dont clean mine in any way other than blowing out - Im not convinced they like water too much - like cats

just use some hot water if you rinse it out and let it dry good. blow the water out of it from the battery end. It will not hurt it. Hot water is all that's needed.

You can just blow out the primer also and drip into it and start using also.. That's the easiest way,

I have cleaned many of 510 atty's with diet cherry coke(my drink of choice). About a shot in a glass and shake it around for a minute. Then rinse with water and blow dry. Should be vapin in a few minutes.
I was one to dethread an atty from the start and strictly drip. Well I take that back. I can't stand playing with 510 atty's etc. Ever since I received my juice boxes everything else seems inferior. I literally put everything away and have used nothing but the JB.
