I'm posting this here, as well as the News section, due to time being of the essence.

For those who aren't aware, the legislative process begins tomorrow on a bill that would the sale of e-cigarettes throughout the entire state of New York. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...gent-nys-outright-sales-ban-agenda-again.html

If you are from around the Albany area, or plan to be in attendance tomorrow for the NY ban hearing, please contact Abigail Bleck (ABleck@wnyt.com, 518.339.4952) ASAP. She is from the local NBC affiliate, and she responded after I pitched her on the idea of doing a story about the e-cigarette ban. I would participate, but I am from NJ and won't be going to the meeting tomorrow.

...I pitched her on the idea of doing a story about the e-cigarette ban.

Thanks Placebo Effect!

I'll do it if someone can send me detail of where I need to be when. It's a 3 hour drive for me but I'll clear the work calendar

Thanks in advance n2xe! I'd help but I'm from the other end of the state. Someone will get you the particulars I'm sure...

edit: or contact Abigail and get the info from her. She probably knows the parking "tricks" and everything else you might need to know... just a thought...

I have emailed this reporter. I have also emailed nearly all of the staff of channel 6 to bring this to their attention and ask for their help to spread the truths of it and the injustice this bill represents.

If I had to guess, I would guess that this bill will not pass, however, the fact that it is even before the assembly is concerning enough that we ALL need to start taking action to prevent this bill and bills like it from even coming before the powers that be.... and it starts with debunking the misinformation that the FDA is spreading, and getting the media to help spread the TRUTHS.

My suggestion? Email all of your local news stations and ask them to look into it and report on it. I included the letter from Bill Goshall from Smokefree Pennsylvania as it is a perfectly worded and convincing letter that includes links to the actual studies and information to make it easy for the reporters to research it. Just make it easy for them and they will also come to see the truths of the misrepresentations. Then hopefully they will want to help.

Just my two cents... feel free to send me my change :p
