As uncomfortable as it might be to read this, from a clinical standpoint I think this should be said. From a personal standpoint, I do hope to get feedback to see if this has happened to any other vapers.

As I await my shipment of smoke juice, I've had to resort back to analogs. Also as bad, I believe, I've had to resort to going to a mall kiosk and buying Fifty-One brand cartridges with Chocolate flavoring. They don't fit in my super mini e-cig, so I've pulled out the polywool soaked in their brand E-juice and stuffed it into a proper sized cartridge for my E-cig.

Much like when a person ingests certain types of vitamins, with this mall bought product, you can definitely notice your body getting rid of the chocolate flavoring (the odor) through the urine. I have never had this happen to me with anything other than vitamins - which I rarely take - and certainly never had this happen with analogs.

This surely can't be healthy can it? Is this common with other E-Juices? Maybe you haven't noticed or maybe it's just this brand's chemical composition - but it's unsettling, to say the least.

I do wonder if other vapers have had this issue. I also want to mention that the original flavored cartridges that came with my starter pack, all Johnson Creek, never, ever, gave this result. Needless to say, I'm ditching that Fifty One A.S.A.P.

Your input is appreciated.

You're kinda vague there on what it's doing to your urine. Are we talking strange color changes, or uncomfortability in passing the urine? If it's color, I find that mine varies just depending on what I eat and drink, so as long as it's not ranging between more than clear and a dark yellow, I don't worry too much. If it's the comfort issue, perhaps your immune system was a little weak when you started getting away from the analogs and you got a case of mild bladder irritation?

Would you be vaping a lot? I know that if I drink a ton of coffee in a day I can smell it when I urinate. Basically, body just couldn't process it all so it passed. Or perhaps what they use for flavoring is something the body cannot process, or your specifically cannot process, and so it comes out in your urine. Urine is a way to remove toxins and other items your body is unable to process, I wouldn't be too worried.

John, read this thread to my wife and she brought up a point that I didn't realize, though it still attests to the notion that this is something that you shouldn't be too concerned over as long as the odor emerging isn't being accompanied by pain or discomfort... Asparagus alters the odor of your urine, too. It hasn't happened to me, but I'm in agreement with the other posters in that it's probably something that is non-toxic but the body isn't able to process. Remember, if it's a toxin, you're going to feel some sort of physical effect in most cases: Headaches, stomach pain, nausea... just think about the effects of too much nicotine and you have a perfect example.

Hope this helps alleviate your concerns.

Eat some asparagus - then smell your wee - actually...don't..its foul.
Asparagus is good for you but it makes your pee smell horrific and in many cases turns it bright GREEN. Some things just affect the smell of pee worse than others - I find it makes mine smell sweeter but not 'bad' (i can't beleive Im typing this lol). As long as its not burning or causing pain then I wouldn't worry either - I once panicked after eating asparagus until a nurse friend explained to me that many things can change the color of our excreta (both kinds) and its not always a cause for alarm. She did add, that as with anything, if you are worried you should get your doc to run a test for you to set your mind at rest.
