If we're gonna go full-tilt gross on this one...

Dark colored pee is an indicator you are dehydrated too. On a general sliding scale, the lighter in color the better.

I didnt realize the link would come out as the article title, I didnt code it to...whoops! But yeah, thats the short version of the #1 reason for smelliness excluding asparagus and we all know vaping is dehydrating :)

I don't think so.. I smelled it bad before if ate asparagus. It was so bad this morning that my wife complained about my urine. All the e juices I have are what I would consider name brand to. I change flavors often. One night I'll have vanilla next day I'll have blueberry cream. I don't know what it is.

Oh no , well then that changes the whole game , there's being concerned and then at the other end of the spectrum there is "the wife said something about it " concerned lol.

You need to just drink water , this does not include iced tea and other beverages because i used to drink mega amounts of everything other than water myself . When i changed to just plain Jane water i was cured (granted i never had an odor issue ) just wanted to make that clear but i felt a hell of a lot better.

Yea I know.. my mom gave me the run down already on urine color.. mine is as clear as water so I don't think it's dehydration. I feel great tons of energy. I'm a coach for youth football and I'm always active but stay well fed and always have liquid.

You know, it could just be that your smeller is off and/or you are getting used to things. A lot of us go through "transient olfactory profound revelations" shortly after we stop smoking. The one that got me a few weeks into vaping was grogging into the kitchen to make the first cup of coffee for the day. Opened up the can and was overwhelmed by a "My Lord! That really smells like coffee!!!" It was only Maxwell House, and there was only about two servings left in the can. Thankfully - that one didn't happen again.

If you got your MD's blessing that all is well keep an eye on it, or a nose, but I wouldn't dwell on it either. It may be a temporary "nose thing" more than anything else that will... pass. (And I'm done with the potty humor.)

All fluids that you drink count toward your water requirement. There is an old wive's tale about coffee, tea, sodas, tomatoes, caffeinated beverages, etc. not counting toward your daily water intake. They do. Alcoholic beverages can cause dehydration if used in excess.

Again, from Mayo Clinic which is a good source for home medical information.

If it burns when you pee, your ohm's are too low. As far as the smell goes, when I pee, it smells like Red Bull. The only reason I know this is because my neighbor and I are having a property line dispute so I went outside on a couple of nights and unzipped and marked my territory. I overheard his wife say "It smells like Red Bull out here"

This is what I was thinking, I'm about at the same point as OP, 3.5 months and I still feel like I'm smelling new strange and awful things every day.

Yeah, and today, almost everything I've tasted has had a metallic taste. Pretty sure it's just a case of psychotic tastebuds, throwing a tantrum because they haven't been smoked with stinkweed in a while. :D

OK - I gotta jump in on this one. I've been vaping for a few years now and when I first started, I had a few run-ins with gout attacks - in fact I think I started a thread about it -or maybe I just mentioned it in another thread. Anyway is was kinda thought of as my imagination working overtime.

I then discovered that when you vape, you need to increase your water intake to make up for the dehydration that vaping appears to cause. In my case, any dehydration becomes a trigger to bring on the gout. For anyone that does not know anything about gout, it is caused by a high level of uric acid in the blood because the body has not flushed enough of it out of your urine thru the kidneys. As a sufferer of gout for the past 25 of my 76 years, I have become an expert on what my urine is telling me. Especially since I began vaping!

Long story short - when I see my urine turning any darker than pale yellow - or begins to smell stronger, it is a clear sign that I am not getting enough H2O.

The only thing you can substitute for water is ................................... WATER.
Everything else is considered NOT good for hydrating.

Oh, and your Nose has started working again.

Actually coconut water is an excellent substitute if you can't get clean water. In fact it was used in transfusions in WWII in the pacific for soldiers who'd lost a lot of blood but couldn't get directly to anyplace for real blood transfusions, because its pH balance is exactly the same as blood, and it's "isotonic" -- it basically served as a blood extender so soldiers wouldn't die of low blood pressure/shock before they could get blood in 'em.
