Paisleyplatypus any luck today with USPS?
They just said that the carrier remembered delivering the package along with a slip of some sort, but I obviously didn't get it! They asked who had access to the mailbox and if the box had been tampered with, but like I explained to the lady on the phone - the box is locked and secure and there's just
one key. So either: a) the address was printed incorrectly on the label b) the mail carrier delivered it to the wrong house despite the fact that the address on the label was correct or c) the mail carrier stole it. My one housemate doesn't smoke and the other one who does is leery of my
ecig, constantly talking about how 'worried' she is about the thought of using one (and yet has no problem with puffing away on a pack or more of smokes every day or two?

), so she wouldn't steal the thing. There was no sign of a delivery slip, no pink 'we have a package at the PO for you!' card - nada!
The package also wasn't insured, so there's no way for USPS to reimburse me for the $70, either, because it's basically my word against USPS's and I can't prove that the package
isn't here - since you can't prove a negative - but seriously, why would I lie about something like this? Especially since this was my very first order. I don't do stuff like that. I wouldn't lie or mess around to try to get free ..... So, anyway, I sent Chad an email in response to let him know what the USPS's verdict was and so far I still haven't heard back.
Whether he decides to try to send me a replacement or not, just the fact that he hasn't bothered to reply yet is more than enough to make me not want to
buy from his company again. This was my very first order with them and this has easily been the worst customer service I've had from an online store in
years - rude, very slow to respond to emails and no apology or explanation as to why there was such a lag in responses, no offer to send a replacement just in case the other package wasn't located. If I had to guess, I'd say that my address was probably printed incorrectly on the mailing sticker - when I called to speak to Chad on the phone, he read off my address, but messed it up and when I pointed out what it was supposed to be, he was just like 'whatever was put in the form, that's what went on the label' in a very brusque and impatient manner.
I'm usually a very easy-going person, but I've worked customer service off and on for a long time -- I do my best to be as nice as possible almost
always to other customer service types because I know it's a tough job, but the lack of concern and attentiveness on Chad's part really isn't thrilling me much. This order cost $70 of my money that I stand to lose and really shouldn't have spent in the first place, truth be told, since I just lost my job, but I wanted to have a backup
ecig just in case my first PV fails or something - I explained the situation to Chad in my first email and he clearly couldn't care less. No compassion, no understanding, no 'I'll do whatever I can to make sure we get this sorted out for you' - just 'go to the post office and check' and attitude by the ton and excuses about how
he's had a rough week. The guy needs a lesson in customer service, that's for damn sure.
