vaping is illegal in TH now!?! O.O

According to this blog, vaping is technically not banned in Thailand, but there is a ban on importation of vape.

Therefore, if you're caught vaping or possessing vape, you must have engaged in illegal importation and therefore you will be "brought to justice" for illegally importing a product that is forbidden to be imported, but not actually punished for vaping or the possession itself.

So, IMHO, vaping is banned in Thailand

The Law Regarding Vaping in Thailand

There isn’t a law that specifically bans vaping and the possession or use of e-cigarettes.

However Section 20 of the Customs Act prohibits the import of electronic cigarettes (among other things). As this section covers the category of goods that have not had tax levied on them and therefore their possession is illegal.

So vaping and possession hasn’t legally been banned. But if you do have an e-cigarette in your possession then you must have brought it into Thailand illegally. And are therefore breaking the law. It’s an effective way for the government to effectively ban vaping without actually banning it. As the only way to get off the hook would be to show proof that you had brought your vaping equipment prior to December 2014, when the new laws was enacted. In which case it was imported legally into Thailand.

I wonder how many cooks and bakers are actually looking for tobacco flavorings.

It's not just baking/cooking... I actually would think that's the very least use of liquid food flavorings (as I cook a lot).

I would think flavorings are much more used in brew/wine/beverage/artisan-soft-drink making, candy making, artisan-soap/shampoo/lotion, etc. There's tons of indy brands for those kinda products.

Imo, "not using flavors" doesn't really do anything nor solve anything and kinda pointless (as VG, PG and food flavorings is sold by non-vape companies/sellers).
"Not using flavors" is more of a political thing and would only help in that sense (ya know... all that "flavors hook kids" BS and fear propaganda).

I think the real question/solution is... can you vape with Zero nic?? (like in Japan)
As nic (and hardware) is really the thing that will get vape-mail banned.

I have at least 2 gallons of Nude Nicotine in Armor here.

Well, finally ordered a 1L of nic today.

For me, 1L = 7.6years
+ current 250ml bottle that’s more than 60% full = 150ml = 1.14years
Total = 8.75years

At least I don’t need to worry for another 7-8 years.
More years if I start cutting down to 1.5mg/ml strength (I'm a 3mg user). So, might try that.

Perhaps even order an extra 500ml or 1L, if I get dem govt relief moneys. Probably not needed tho. As I have a lot of nic now, and I could do local pick-up in the future if needed (if they're still around/in-business in 8 years).

Actually there is one big advantage of vaping with no flavorings...coils don't gunk up nearly so quickly. In fact nearly no gunk at all making coils last a very long time.

That said I don't do it. I like my flavors.

I only suggested skipping the flavors, in case they become difficult to obtain. If you can get them, no worries.

I've probably purchased $150 in flavors over the years and never had any luck coming up with what I bought manufactured for me. Maybe I'll try it again. Never say never.

I wonder when steam-engine.org will be deemed "tobacco product" and forced to be put behind a paywall with age verification?

:eek:Ack! Bite your tongue! :pervy: don't give em any more fun to do ideas...
Although I did write down the amounts I calculated that I use most....

In over reading every article I came across... the WHO and American Lung Association are making the end of vaping their #1 priority this year. The all out war has just begun. The WHO wants every country to ban it and the ALA wants all flavors banned immediately, including menthol.

I don't think all flavor sellers are safe just yet. They are hellbent on banning vape without actually banning vape IMHO. It may not be fair, but I can see flavor retailers being the next target.

As far as flavor sellers being a target ...not so much, but, flavor seller discontinuing certain vape-centric flavors like tobacco ...very possible/probable.

If you're talking about the ejuice calc, go and download a copy of Ejuicemeup if you are on a PC or look for one of the smartphone apps.

I'm getting a "home lab" ready for production. I had over 100 bottles of premade in a box that I tossed empties in over the years and last night I started to clean out/soak, and remove labels on the 60ml glass bottles. I must have 40 bottles downstairs now ready to go!

Do you see that "P" in the circle for my avatar? It means PREPPER, and these sun of a guns aren't going to slow me down! I'm ready as I'll ever be.

US govt doesn't like preppers that prep for more than 1 month in advance

State Flavored Tobacco Product Laws Methodology | State of Tobacco Control

"Given the key role that flavors play in getting and keeping people addicted to tobacco products, and the lack of action by the federal government on the topic, a new grade was added to “State of Tobacco Control 2021” evaluating states on whether they have prohibited the sale of all flavored tobacco products. That's why I posted a thread months ago asking about any grocery store flavors that people know of that might be safe for vaping. A thread like that it going to have to be revisited if/when they somehow stop vapers from getting flavor concentrates. No one is interested right now because we don't need to worry about it right now.

People say this is impossible however nothing is impossible when it comes to tobacco control.

I am getting a few last minute orders in- for mods really since I stocked up on RTAs and RDAs way back when. Is there such a thing as a lifetime supply of electronic mods? I have a few mechanical as back-up though.

I visited my local vape shop- I can't believe my podunk town of 2,000 has one, that has survived whatever government interference (taxes, etc.) and the pandemic- and figure to befriend the owner. He told me to let him know whatever I wanted and he'd try to order it for me, once the vape mail ban goes into effect. I recommend getting familiar your local vape shops. One thing about my little town- everyone is super-friendly, and my vape shop owner is no exception.

Depends on how old you are and how much money you have to stock up on electronic mods ;)

I have a decent stash, I also have many mechs, all tube mechs though. Was gonna buysome box mechs but I found plans for building box mechs and I'm confident I can do it. I have about 20 or so 510 connectors from FT that I acquired over the years. With the exception of the 510 connector, everything needed to build a mech is readily available from various non-vape suppliers.

Dead mods can be a source of parts, especially 510 connectors. Don't throw away a mod just because it's dead.
