I'm having a wacky thought: It would be too funny, after all the government's efforts to kill vaping AND thought they put the last nail in the vaping coffin, someone comes up with a new shipping method that bypasses the USPS, DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.

Just a wacky thought.

However, I have learned one thing in my life: When there's money to be made, somebody figures out a way.
Ah but they have the insurance of the PMTA process to crush us in the end. They just refuse to approve any not by BT and away they go.

Regardless, the following, I believe, would still need to be adhered to ::

  • Verify age of customers using a commercially available database
  • Use private shipping services that collect an adult signature at the point of delivery
  • Register with the ATF and the U.S. Attorney General
  • Register with state and local tax administrators in all states and localities where business is done
  • Collect and pay all applicable local and state taxes, and affix any required tax stamps to the products sold
  • Each month, a list of all transactions must be sent to each state’s tax administrator that includes the names and addresses of each customer sold to, the quantities and type of each product sold, and the name, address, and phone number of the person delivering the shipment to the recipient

I have a few FastTech orders...how can you tell if your items pass through Customs?

If you chose epacket shipping option, USPS tracking will show:
"Processed Through Facility ISC [insert city here] (USPS)"

If you chose USPS Expedited (which is DHL Ecommerce), USPS tracking will show:
"On Its Way to USPS/Departed Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item"
So far, the only notification I get is the USPS tracking page that states "Pre Shipment"

Then it has either not landed in the USA yet or it has and is awaiting to be processed by US Customs.

Good question. Can anyone confirm if you have to have some sort of license (like a liquor license) to run a vape shop? I've never heard of such a thing...but if it's not a thing already, then it's probably coming

In most, if not all, states have a tobacco reseller's license you must obtain. In a few states I have seen, that license is very inexpensive.

But I think I read in sixths thread that you will soon need to be registered with the US government as well?

Great. Thanks for the info

I do have a liquor license...surely I'm not too far from pulling this off without jumping through too many hoops

I just wanna be able to buy whatever the hell I want whenever I want!!!

As I stated to someone else in an other thread, if you are buying "tobacco products" under a business name via wholesale, you better have the records to prove you are in fact reselling that tobacco because if you don't you are in for a world of hurt when they find out you are buying tobacco products at wholesale for personal use. Without legit sales records, you will likely be deemed to be selling on the black market. And they will confiscate your personal stash, too. Best to consult a professional.

To me, Uncle Sam is far from stupid .. they churn out these rules and regulations, seemingly always containing a laundry list of items that must be checked off, thus making it more and more difficult and expensive for a Business to comply ..

Then, sure, some outfit can try and piece together a circumvention of those rules, somehow .. yet, rarely, is it going to actually work ..

All I know is, buy what you need, figure a piece of that next stimulus check and get the goods now .. buy the piece of mind of knowing you're good to go for as long a period of time as you can afford ..

Most of us that have been on ECF for any length of time saw the writing on the wall .. if people are hoping that some alternate delivery program or other scheme to get the goods in you hands will be forthcoming, well, I hope you're right ..

I stocked more than a lifetime supply of 100mg nic a long time ago ..

The best cure is to simply be pro-active ..

Otherwise, your looking at ::

stimulus check

I don't think it will be out before the USPS vape mail ban is in full effect. Or am I wrong? Haven't been keeping track of that.

And that's always been the best plan of action for serious vapers.

Between the mail ban, PMTAs and the nic base tax (which I believe will be reintroduced and passed in 2021 or 2022), there is no other way to keep vaping, the way you like it, but to stock-up.

That I don't know .. but surely, people commonly order goods using a Credit Card on line, so charge it up and pay it when you get the stimulus ..

Last week I heard on the radio that the stimulus bill passed but that "it'll be a while" before payments will actually be approved...or something like that. Didn't say what the delay was for.

I suspect "bread and circuses" answers that question.

Half hour ago I placed an order with a smaller online shop that's a B&M store. They called me because some of the stuff I ordered is no longer in stock. Old gear.

She told me about the vape mail ban, but when I asked her how she thinks PMTA is going to affect her B&M operation come September her reply was, "Uh, well I don't know anything about it."

All I could say to her at that point was, "Oh OK, well thanks for calling about the out of stocks and good luck". I wasn't about to get into explaining it to her. It's a moot point anyhow.

Yes, she was an owner. That's how she presented herself when she called.

From a Classic...

Elwood: Well, what was I gonna do? Take away your only hope? Take away the very thing that kept you going in there? I took the liberty of bull....ting you, okay?

Jake: You lied to me.

Elwood: It wasn't a lie, it was just bull.....

Just received a VG, PG and flavor order today from a well-known dist, via FedEx (which stopped shipping vape early on March 1). So, I guess they're still okay (for now).

3eff orders (love how much faster they are than ft!)... 1 landed in customs last night, 1 is in-bound. Hope they clear.

ft orders... none shipped yet.

Is this distributor a vape vendor that sells nicotine and/or other vape supplies or do they only sell VG, PG and flavors and other non-vape supplies under a non vape name?
