OK, wife and I got a few atty's for testing DIY and new online purchases.

I suspect on new atty's, one should either clean or hit the power button....first drip/vape was NASTY and was harsh like it has some sealant on it. Next was better.....and so on. Then, wanted to change and we were told from the B&M owner at purchase to just change flavors and keep going - didn't work. So...questions:

1) Is there a cleaning process after purchase?
2) Is an initial "dry burn" or other process recommended?
3) Is there a recommended process to clean before switching flavors?

#3 note: went from a DIY Cinnamon Pear to an online purchase (Choc covered cherry or something like this). Well, I could still taste the DIY liquid.

Any helpful tips or hints to make this a better experience?

#4) Assume when I get that first dry or burnt taste...it needs more drops, right?

Thanks all for the help!!!

You can use hot water, alcohol , even baking soda and vinegar. I use rubbing alcohol. I bought a 1ft clear hose from Home Depot the atty fits snugly in the hose. I fill the hose with alcohol and blow it threw the atty.

Yea its just drip vape a few drags and repeat. when you flood it you put to much after a little time you find how much to put and how often to avoid dry hits and flooding.
