USB charger failure

Yesterday I had my usb charger short on me, plugged it in and about 10 minutes later i noticed the light was not on.

Took it out and actually burned my finger on the unit itself, could this have any effect on my battery? works fine for now.

I don't know about the batt, but what about your safety? I'd email V4L directly.

Nothing big, I didn't really think of emailing them about it... was just going to order a new one. In all honesty I was more worried about my computer than anything but don't notice anything.
Now my only concern is to if i'd need to replace my battery sooner than later just so i'm not stuck with one less when it happens.
