USB Lithium Battery on Pass-thru

Six posts in the newbie area, I still can post this question anywhere appropriate. So, I give up, and it's going here.

I've been using a Duracell 1150mAh USB battery on an 808 pass-thru with great success. It's very nice for sitting around the campfire or coffee table. It doesn't get hot, and it holds a sizeable charge. However, I've read stories of people modding and blowing up batteries. This isn't really a mod and isn't in my hand or face, so I'm not too concerned. What I'd like to avoid is suggesting it to anyone else if it's a hazard. Any thoughts?

I've attempted to attach a link and a picture, but I still don't have permission to do that, either. A google search for "duracell portable usb" will get you to these products if you're interested in them.

Another attempt at attaching a photo.

3-ish months ago TigerDirect or BestBuy or some big chain was blowing out Kennsington power packs with USB plug. 1500 or 2000mah for like $20 or $25. Quite a few folks got one (or two) and run USB passthrus on them all the time. So I think what you're doing is pretty much the same thing and you should be all good.
