USB passthrough and car stereo USB port

Hi,

I have a USB passthrough coming from PureSmoker and I was wondering if I could plug it into the USB port on my car stereo that I usually use for a thumb drive?

Give it a try--worst that can happen is there is not enough power to fire up the passthough. It will not hurt anything--Sun

If it doesn't provide enough power there is always the cigarette lighter socket USB widget So you should have the car taken care of

It should work if the output is 1000mah. If not, there are other car charger adapters that are.

I'll be watching to see how it does. I have a usb port on my stereo but no cigarette lighter in the work truck.

well.. most of those charge phones ipods iphones and a iphone/ipod charger runs my passthrough so yeha it should work =D vape on

Don't Do It, Don't Even Try It! The Stereo USB Ports On The Mini Adaptors are Not A USB Power Outlets (I have 3 different models of them). There are a few out there that will provide enough power for a charged up MP3 Player, But Not for An E-Cig.

If You Don't Understand The Difference Just Don't Do It.

Get Yourself A separate USB CLA (Car Charger Adapter) with a minimum of 750 mAh (I used my 801's on 750 mAh But a good unit).

USB CLA (Car Charger Adapter) 1000 mAH Is What You Should Get, If You Don't Have A Car Charger Outlet, Go Over to Radio Shack & Get There Clip On Model (assuming you can do it), and use that, if you don't know how to connect go see your mechanic for either a quick temporary install or other.

If you Need an other CLA Port You Can Pick Up a Plug In Y Adaptor to allow 2 CLA's for $5.00..

You just may want to go get a USB Power Pack & save yourself all the other BS..

But Then Again, Its Your Stereo.....
